Job PurposeThe Quality Lab Technician is responsible for creation and implementation of the Quality Inspection Lab, including quality inspection plans and processes, implementing proactive approach to Quality inspection plans, and other duties as directed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Responsible for adherence to the Cardinal Rules of Safety• Responsible for developing and maintaining the Quality System within the Quality Inspection Labs• Responsible for developing and implementation of inspection control plans• Develop and maintain First Article Inspection (FAI) process within the Quality Inspection Labs• Perform analytical testing within the labs• Assist with administrative duties within the laboratories• Develop and maintain calibration and training plans for hardware and software within the Quality Inspection Labs• Ability to develop relationships in a highly matrixed organization, and drive teamwork cross functionally • Working with minimal direction• Ability to interpret blueprints, quality inspection plans, procedures, and work instructions.• Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy• Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis.• Maintain good attendance• Follow company policies and procedures• Other tasks as assigned Above is a list of the most important responsibilities and functions, which are essential to the position. Qualifications• Educationo High School diploma or equivalent, base on education and work experienceo Business Degree in Project Management preferred.• Licenses/Certifications:o ISO 9001 or IATF Internal Auditor certification preferred• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:o Three years' experience in a quality manufacturing role preferably with an active certified quality system (ISO, AS, etc.).o Experience in inspection theories
o Familiar with Trumpf Laser and Bend Machines preferredo CMM Experience preferredo Statistical Process Control Experience preferredo ASQE Green Belt Certification preferred (DMAIC and DMADV knowledge and application)o Quality experience with weld and sheet metal inspectiono Experience in measurement usageo Experience with CAD software, Soldworks experience preferredo Experience with GD&To Inspection experience using blueprints (interpretation, etc.)o Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and windows-based programso Effective oral and written communications skillso Attention to detailo Ability to read and understand 2D drawingso Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
