We are seeking a passionate Head of Organic Growth to channel this moxie, and develop and implement a comprehensive Organic Growth strategy and program to complement our Paid Acquisition programs. We have tons of traffic and tons of data. All that's missing is you!
You'll be responsible for creating and driving the integrated customer acquisition strategy and program execution across our organic channels, with a particular attention to SEO as our largest non-paid channel. The two main components to the strategy you will be responsible for developing:
Attracting significant qualified traffic via the development and SEO success of scaled growth-hack strategies - proprietary technique, UGC, scaled content production, etc Development and execution of SEO best practices relating to our 200 million media assets and high-volume and long-tail SEO traffic and conversion
As Head of Organic Growth, you'll partner with our talented stakeholders across multiple functions, including marketing, technology, product, customer support, sales, and the executive team. And you'll have endless opportunities to grow and optimize this foundational channel as well as help identify new initiatives to keep Shutterstock growing robustly, innovating and staying at the forefront of our industry!
The day to day:
Develop and implement strategic organic search marketing plans to exceed customer acquisition goals Partner with the Performance Marketing team (SEM, Media, Affiliate Partnerships) to optimize overall marketing ROI and conversion Partner with the Product and Technical teams to ensure SEO is a central consideration in product and content creation decisions As the in-house leader of SEO, regularly present industry insights, competitor activity, market trends and best practices to educate and influence all levels of our org Regularly conduct comprehensive SEO audits, and make recommendations for near, short, and long-term improvements and optimizations Drive our backlink strategies and growth Consistently track key ranking, traffic, and conversion metrics, and deliver clear and concise reporting to Executive management and key stakeholders on a regular basis Hold ultimate accountability for organic search customer acquisition goals and organic search strategy
What to accomplish in the first 6 months:
Build strategy, structure, and execution plans for organic growth, agreed upon across Marketing and ProductExceed organic search customer acquisition goals Successfully partner with Performance Marketing to achieve overall customer acquisition and volume goals, as well as to have a path for improving our acquisition costs by shifting more acquisition to organic Improve our key ranking and traffic, especially against competitors
What you'll bring to the role:
7+ years of experience leading an organic growth motion or SEO, preferably at a tech company, two-sided marketplace company, or e-commerce company Subject matter leadership and organizational skill in leveraging and integrating organic channels (and respective teams) Track record of building connective tissue among organic channels and other marketing and product motions, while injecting industry insights, competitor activity, and best practices Demonstrated SEO growth hacking success Track record of achieving business results through user-centered SEOAn understanding of Information Architecture and Conversion Rate OptimizationExcellent analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate data into action Experience working with Google Analytics, Excel, and third party SEO platforms Fluency in the fundamentals of web development Ability to excel both independently and as part of a team Exceptional project management skills and a keen eye for detail
