PURPOSE: The Jewish Board's Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally affirming, person-centered approach to help individuals and theirfamilies develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities. POSITION OVERVIEW: This position provides clinical services as part of an Article 31 OMH certified outpatient MHOTRS clinic. The clinics are located in diverse communities and provide services to individuals of all ages and their families and support systems. Clinical services are provided using a trauma-informed, evidence-based, racially & culturally affirming approach. Interventions include, but are not limited to, evaluations; individual, group and/or family therapy; care coordination; and crisis interventions. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessments • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members (as appropriate), to identify treatment needs and interventions and review/revise treatment plans to reflect client's treatment progress and changing problems/goals. • Provide individual, group, family, collateral treatment and crisis services/interventions • Be actively self-reflective & self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients, families, and the communities we serve • Approach work with an anti-racist lens and open to continuously learning and evolving • Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care • Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, required training, and supervision. • Open and willing to receive constructive feedback • Maintain documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies and/or funding sources • Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board, relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and procedures. • Must have a strong knowledge of OMH Telehealth guidelines and adherence to the requirements of telehealth practice. • Other duties as assigned. We provide a range of wrap-around services to help survivors rebuild their lives in the aftermath of abuse, and work to end gender violence through three key strategies: direct services, outreach and training, and systems-change advocacy. POSITION OVERVIEW The counselor will provide assessment, counseling, advocacy, and referral services to child witnesses of gender-based violence and survivors of teen dating violence. They will work with the clinical team to provide holistic, trauma-informed, and survivor-centered clinical services. They will utilize a trauma-informed approach to promote clients' rights and provide services in a manner that emphasizes safety, respect, and dignity. They will provide strength-based guidance and work to resolve the impact of gender-based violence in their young lives. They will also provide information and outreach to the community. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for social justice and work collaboratively with the clinical team. Counselor will be working from NYC Family Justice Center, Bronx, NY. RESPONSIBILITIES Complete clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and teens referred for counseling; Provide mental health services for children and teens (from 0-21 years old) including short term individual counseling and crisis intervention with individuals and their families; Collaborate with staff at other Sanctuary for Families sites and Bronx Family Justice Center Partner agencies to provide holistic services; Advocate for and assist families/individuals in the negotiation of service delivery system to ensure receipt of appropriate clinical and related services; Demonstrate competence in evidence-based modalities such as CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy) and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy); Develop effective relationships with children and families; Liaise effectively with other professionals in and out of the Bronx Family Justice Center and DA's office in order to meet the needs of the clients; Facilitate appropriate clinical groups for clients, including, but not limited to, parenting skills groups; Participate in team and agency meetings, individual supervisory meetings, case conferences and other meetings as requested; Complete all appropriate paperwork, including case notes and reports, in a timely manner; Assist with children's room coverage to support team in providing services to families seeking services; Conduct outreach and training related to gender based and domestic violence; Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor; Provide support and supervision to MSW interns as needed. LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or similar degree. The SARC Counselor's primary responsibilities are to provide comprehensive counseling services for primary and secondary survivors of domestic and sexual violence to include individual and group therapy in New Castle County, Delaware. This position will provide services at SARC in New Castle and The Healing Place at HLMC in Wilmington. This position includes Helpline, On Call, and Supervisory shift coverage for program service. This position reports to the Chief Health and Safety Officer. Requirements PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES (may include, but not limited to): Accountability/ Priority Objectives: Responsibility for providing trauma-informed counseling services for primary and secondary survivors of domestic and sexual violence to include individual and group therapy in NCC. Provide crisis intervention, assessment, and short-term counseling to primary and secondary survivors of domestic and sexual violence, teen dating violence and abuse. Plan, promote and provide therapeutic intervention and group services to adolescent and adult clients while maintaining the highest level of ethical standards including confidentiality and mandated reporting. RESPONSIBILITIES Complete clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and teens referred for counseling; Provide mental health services for children and teens (from 0-21 years old) including short term individual counseling and crisis intervention with individuals and their families; Collaborate with staff at other Sanctuary for Families sites and Bronx Family Justice Center Partner agencies to provide holistic services; Advocate for and assist families/individuals in the negotiation of service delivery system to ensure receipt of appropriate clinical and related services; Demonstrate competence in evidence-based modalities such as CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy) and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy); Develop effective relationships with children and families; Liaise effectively with other professionals in and out of the Bronx Family Justice Center and DA's office in order to meet the needs of the clients; Facilitate appropriate clinical groups for clients, including, but not limited to, parenting skills groups; Participate in team and agency meetings, individual supervisory meetings, case conferences and other meetings as requested; Complete all appropriate paperwork, including case notes and reports, in a timely manner; Assist with children's room coverage to support team in providing services to families seeking services; Conduct outreach and training related to gender based and domestic violence; Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor; Provide support and supervision to MSW interns as needed. Requirements LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or similar degree. A minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience with victims of domestic violence, including work with children; Experience providing counseling and supportive services to domestic violence survivors and their families; Experience facilitating support groups and dynamic community workshops; Ability to work flexible hours, a mix of hybrid and remote work; Ability to work two late evenings (up to and including 7:30 PM) a week and to maintain a flexible work schedule Interest in working with clients from diverse backgrounds; Computer literate in Microsoft applications required; Familiarity with virtual telehealth platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom Bilingual (Spanish) a plus. Job Description The Substance Abuse Professional (Clinical Analyst - SUD) guides clinical services delivery and implements OCHN's strategic vision and plan with the respective Providers within the Service Network, including initiatives and projects that advance service recipient involvement, quality outcomes, performance improvement, cost analyses and contract compliance. Essential Functions Provides clinical content expertise and guidance to the SUD Network Providers for the development and improvement of service initiatives, projects, and programs. This includes research, service recipient and community input, management report analysis, etc. Writes policies and protocols for service provision. Provides clinical guidance to contractors related to audit findings and corrective action plans. Participates in provider case conferences, and provides clinical guidance related to contract requirements. Develops Best Practice / Evidence-Based Practice models of service, and makes recommendations for implementation of the Practices, including protocol and policy development as well as fidelity guidelines. Creates system change through implementation of the principles and practices of Recovery, Self-Determination, Trauma-Informed Systems, Person-/ Family Centered Planning, Peer-delivered services, and Evidenced-based or Best Practices, including the evaluation of outcomes and service recipient satisfaction. Collaborates with the OCHN UM Team to develop and implement SUD Utilization Management guidelines, policies, practices, and outcomes; analyze utilization data; make recommendations for improvements; and provide training / education, as needed. Analyzes system data, identifies trends, monitors usage of services within populations served, provide written reports. Provides recommendations for improvement plans. Takes a leadership role in the effectiveness of clinical activities, identifies improvement actions, as necessary, and makes recommendations as appropriate. Coordinates the identification, development, and implementation of needed training within the designated population group to ensure that SUD Service organizations/staff have the necessary skills to provide quality services and outcomes. Participates in meetings, workgroups, and committees with other OCHN Teams, such as involvement in Access, Quality Management, or benefits coordination initiatives, etc. Actively participates in the development of contracts, as well as the evaluating of performance for contract continuation, including outcome measures, business practices, quality indicators, grievance, and Recipient Rights trends, etc. Participate in the resolution of systems issues identified by Customer Service staff and other members of the OCHN or SUD Team, including communicating relevant information, analyzing data / trends, and making recommendations, arranging provider education / training, and ensuring development and evaluation of improvement plans. Participates in the resolution of Provider issues / complaints, including involvement in the Dispute Resolution process and Appeals process, if needed. Implements identified initiatives and projects via participation in local, state, and federal collaborative activities. Conducts annual audits for contracted providers to ensure contract compliance and quality service delivery. Conducts clinical reviews to assess quality service delivery and provide feedback to providers on practice improvement. Conducts Sentinel Event clinical reviews, as requested, per the Sentinel Event policy. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements and Qualifications Education: Master's degree in mental health field with a full unrestricted license. Preferred Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): State of Michigan licenses, certification and / or registrations as Psychologist (LLP, LP), Social Worker (LMSW), Counselor (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). For Substance Use Disorder Services: Certification from the Michigan Certification board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP): CAADC or CADC, or active Development Plan. Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in providing services to Individual's with Substance Use Disorders, adults with Mental Illness, Children with Serious Emotional Disturbance or adults and/or children with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities. Preference for experience in providing clinical services in the public sector. Preference for experience in human services administration, contract management, or related area in the public sector. Job Specific Competencies/Skills: Working knowledge of the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) SUD Administrative Rules. Working knowledge of the Michigan Mental Health Code. Working knowledge of Michigan Medicaid rules and regulations. Familiarity with Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) certification standards and processes. Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, quality monitoring and report writing. Demonstrated experience in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. Minimum of 1 year of experience developing quality initiatives, data collection, data analysis including Dashboards. For children's services - Demonstrated understanding of family systems approaches and commitment to serving children within their family and community.
