Welcome to our James Beard Award winning Original Pancake House serving the best pancakes in the world since 1953.
In 1956, The Original Pancake House won the McCall Citation for Excellence in the preparation and presentation of food.
One of the earliest franchised restaurants opened in Anaheim, California in 1958 and is currently owned by the family of employees from the original Portland location.
In 1980, their son Frank and his wife Anneke, purchased the business from his folks.
Dallas opened its first Original Pancake House in 1987.
In 1999, the Original Pancake House in Portland received a James Beard Foundation Award as an American Classic.
With the quest for delicious pancakes rapidly growing, the first international location opened in Seoul, South Korea in 2013, and then Kichijoji, Tokyo, Japan a year later.
