Position Description Origis Energy is seeking a midlevel attorney with 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project finance, with a strong emphasis on reviewing and negotiating lending agreements with financial institutions and tax equity agreements. The Senior Counsel position, reporting to the General Counsel, will play a critical role in supporting Origis' Capital Markets team to ensure timely and efficient execution of financing transactions that enable the company to meet its project build schedules. This is a regular, full-time position and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer-paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits. Key Responsibilities Review, negotiate, and draft credit agreements, collateral packages, intercreditor agreements, tax equity agreements, tax credit transfer agreements, and related project finance documentation. Collaborate closely with the Capital Markets (Project Finance) team to support debt and tax equity financing efforts across solar and energy storage projects. Manage and coordinate with external counsel to manage transaction flow and ensure cost-effective legal support. Help ensure financing transactions are executed on schedule to support project development and construction timelines and commercial operations. Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, lender requirements, and compliance obligations associated with financing structures. Prepare summaries of key deal terms and risk factors for the General Counsel and other senior leadership. Support broader legal team on cross-functional matters including M&A, corporate governance, and other legal matters as needed. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years' experience in project finance, banking, or structured finance, with a focus on energy infrastructure or renewable energy. Strong understanding of debt financing structures (including construction, bridge and term loans), tax equity structures, lender and investor expectations, and market-standard terms. Prior in-house or law firm experience preferred, especially in energy, infrastructure, or financial services sectors. Prior experience with energy M&A transactions will be considered a plus. Experience negotiating complex financial and commercial agreements under tight deadlines. JD and current member in good standing of at least one state bar. This person will join an experienced team with the main objective leading supplier relationships, market intelligence, and commercial negotiations for BESS, PV Modules, or High Voltage Equipment. The successful candidate will help Origis Energy navigate strategy, market conditions and make sourcing recommendations for our growing renewable business. This position will represent Origis at trade shows, build relationships with suppliers and industry leaders and maintain a strategy roadmap for negotiations and terms associated with storage and solar projects. Key Responsibilities Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, when applicable, for PV modules, energy storage equipment, and HV equipment; analyze bid results and compile bid evaluations.
