    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Field Assignment Works at one or more of the ORION Concrete jobsites as assigned by the Sr. VP of Operations, Area General Superintendent, Project Manager, or Superintendent to learn how concrete construction project work is performed. Works as a member of the project crew helping to ensure the successful completion of on-going or new field projects. Learns the responsibilities of the different craft positions and how they coordinate to complete project work. Works closely with the Project Superintendent, Project Engineer or Field Engineer to understand the various responsibilities required of field supervision. Assists Project Engineer or Field Engineer in completing their various tasks. Office Assignment Works closely as a junior member of the Project Management group assisting in the successful completion of on-going or new projects. Assists in the development of bid proposals for upcoming concrete construction and services projects. Estimates costs to be incurred in upcoming projects accounting for materials, services, labor, and other associated costs. Interprets project plans and specifications. Procures materials and services from suppliers for current projects as required by project needs. Schedules project work activities according to plan timelines to ensure timely project completion. Provides interface with project team members, suppliers, customers, and others who are involved in project work. Employee Safety and Compliance Ensures that project team members are provided a safe work environment and are knowledgeable of safe work practices and policies. Participates in Safety and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance of State/Federal regulations and improve existing Company programs. Keeps all project schedules updated with actual durations for each task as compared to the original Base-Line Schedule; document all applicable delays (weather, GC, suppliers, others). Orders, ensures timely delivery, and reviews accuracy of materials such as rebar, shoring, forming, and post-tensioning.
