Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Read and understand work order requirements. Identify parts with printed and/or electronic pictures on router. Must be capable of performing all paint preparation activities including: Stage parts for Prime and Topcoat Sand, clean, and rack parts using proper techniques and sanding grits. Reports any identified defects to leadership for further instructions. Responsibilities: Review and evaluate Quality Documents, ensuring that all documents are applicable to current standards & procedures and properly represent current manufacturing processes and procedures. Ensure procedures are being followed for the following processes: Creation of Manufacturing Inspection Reports (MIR) for all parts and assemblies. First Article Inspections (FAI) In Process Inspections Internal, Customer, Supplier and other third-party audits Final Inspection Reports Inspection and receipt of all incoming parts and material (raw material, hardware, supplies, and parts returning from outside processing). Summary: Perform masking and racking duties for subsequent chemical processes and paint applications using tape, liquid maskants, and various other materials. This position will have a specific focus on safety, quality, and throughput within the masking department. Supports the department leadership and helps ensure masking is performed in accordance with masking aids using Catia, Adobe Illustrator, and other software. Works directly with the masking supervisor and the masking lead to promote a Lean and continuous improvement culture, constantly striving to find a better, cheaper, faster way to move parts through the masking department. Set up and operate manual machines independently using your own ideas on clamping, holding and machining strategies to yield positive results on tooling components as well as rework of precision aerospace parts. Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications. Maintain adherence to production schedules and dispatch lists. Stage materials, tools, and fixtures to support efficient workflow and minimize changeover time. This position will allow for multifaceted experience within the Orizon Aerostructures - Chanute Assembly facility. The Engineer will verify productivity rates and processes to ensure efficiencies are attainable and processes are scalable. This includes the implementation of “Lean Manufacturing” techniques in a meaningful and practical way as well as development and training of standardized operating procedures for each assembly process. Opportunities and Responsibilities: Creation and review of production planning as assigned on new programs including but not limited to BOM's, ERP Routings, and Work Instructions. Maintain engineering documentation in accordance with internal and external requirements within the ERP system and local file server. Engage Production Supervisors and employees in developing lean manufacturing techniques which will lead to cost reduction and improved efficiency. Perform time studies of assembly products/processes and provide detailed analysis to ensure actual hours are being forecasted. Provide lean manufacturing ideas to reduce assembly product/process hours. Assist in RCCA activities for nonconforming product to define and develop permanent corrective actions that drive measurable results. Metrology inspection utilizing Laser Tracker and T-Probe to verify product conformity to all customer engineering requirements. Completion of AS9102 requirements for new assembly products prior the first shipment to the customer. Complete reviews/audits of existing QMS forms and work instructions to validate adherence to the AS9100 standard.

Responsibilities: Level 1: * Accurately enter information and data into AS9102 reports inside of Net-Inspect. * Ensure that all relevant internal and external documentation utilized for inspection purposes is current. * Accurately record inspection activities, as required, utilizing the Company's ERP system. * Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly prints. * Perform basic CMM Operations * Perform inspection by utilizing hand held gages including calipers, micrometers and scales. * Perform final check to ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and non-conformance issues. * Accurately populate quality assurance documentation using industry terms and definitions. * Assist in Return Material Authorization (RMA) and Material Rejection Report (MRR) processes using Syteline to ensure timely resolution. * Participate in 3rd Party audits as necessary. * Maintain an “Ultra C-Lean” working environment by following proper work procedures, ensuring a clean work area, and confirming, at the beginning and end of each shift, that the work area has an accurate inventory of tools. * Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to safety officials or Quality Supervision. * Will handle customer supplied products with care. * Maintain and reinforce ORIZON's quality standards to meet customer expectations. * Manage time appropriately and respond quickly to all inquiries so that production, quality and delivery schedules are met. * Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management
