Following the strategic plan, the Clinical Informaticist supports stakeholders in the procurement, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT products. Implements and monitors procedures to comply with New Jersey State Cancer Registry requirements, American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers program standards. Along with the Cancer Services Director, and Manager of Cancer Registry & Program Accreditation, ensures that the Penn Medicine Princeton Health Cancer Program maintains ACoS CoC and NABPC Accreditation.
Accountabilities:
+ Identify (case-finding), accessioning, and abstracting new cancer cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings in accordance with the standards set by the New Jersey State Cancer Registry (NJSCR) and Commission on Cancer (CoC) program, while maintaining a high level of accuracy of 95-100 % and meeting productivity quota per institutional and departmental standards. Analyzes data for cases not required by the Federal or State but meeting requirements for special case studies or identified for reportable by agreement cases. - Digests complex clinical information to determine if data entered into the Cancer Registry software is accurate, complete, and valid. Understands clinical pathways to determine treatment types based on site, extent of disease, type of cancer, and associated NCCN guidelines.
+ - Review data for completeness and accuracy. Pursues missing data necessary for abstract completion by contacting outside physician offices, hospitals, and Cancer Registries. - Manages and maintains lifetime follow-up data on all analytic patients in the Cancer Registry. - Ensures timely and accurate reporting of cancer data to the ACoS CoC and the New Jersey Department of Health (NJSCR). - Ensures compliance with all ACoS CoC and NAPBC program standards. Assists with re-accreditation site visit preparation. - Maintain patient confidentiality and security of patient data in all formats maintained in the Cancer Registry. - Attends and participates in departmental, organizational and/or educational meetings, as requested. A Brief Overview
This role is responsible for the negotiation and preparation of contracts and agreements on behalf of the Office of Collaborative and Corporate Research Contracts.
This role also will maintain agreement databases, ensure compliance with regulations, help resolve contractual issues within agreements, and assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
What you will do
This position will prepare, according to policies and procedures, the timely execution of: Confidentiality Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Data Transfer Agreements, Research Collaboration Agreements, Sponsored Research Agreements, Consortium Agreements, In-License Agreements, and other agreements.
This position will: (1) participate in the drafting, preparation, and negotiation of Inter Institutional and other agreements; (2) maintain the departmental agreement data base; (3) ensure compliance with governmental and industry regulations; (4) collaborate with contract management and institutional liaisons to resolve contractual issues within agreements; and (5) assist with development and implementation of institutional policies and procedures related to research projects requiring written contracts negotiated.
This position will also:
Collaborate with team members, individual investigators and personnel within the Hospital in the preparation and submission of agreements
Collaborate with management, internal Hospital / department personnel, and legal staff to ensure agreements internal compliance, and consistency between informed consent documents and agreements
Identify any problematic language that may require negotiation and/or input from other CHOP offices (such as Offices of Technology Transfer, Risk Management, and General Counsel); and appropriately escalate stalled contract negotiations
Maintain active communication with all stakeholders including investigators, research personnel, management, and external collaborators
Function as departmental liaison with internal Hospital staff and external corporate research sponsors
Participate in process improvement initiatives to provide internal customer service
Generate reports to measure / manage workflow efficiently and effectively
Provide documentation and reports to accounting, research and other departments for post award management and as requested
Develop and conduct contract orientations, workshops, and presentations
Enhance knowledge of agreements' academic standards, research best practices, and negotiations policies through ongoing personal development

Responsibilities The Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) isresponsible for leading the shift operations within the clinical setting to ensure delivery of high-quality care, exceptional customer experience, and optimal patient flow. In conjunction with the Department Nursing Operations Manager and the Assistant Nursing Operations Manager (ANOM); the CANM provides guidance, fosters collaboration, and is responsible for the unit's clinical operations including patient care assignments, customer experience, productivity, and quality outcomes in settings where an acute care patient receives active treatment for an injury, episode of illness, a medical condition, or post intervention with assessment Essential Functions • Exemplar of the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health. • Participates in shared leadership structure. • Managesstaffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts, based on patient acuity and skill set of team members to ensure patient care needs are met. • Coordinates patient flow by working directly with the Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes. • Monitors overall status of patients within area ofresponsibility and closely monitors status ofseriously ill patients. • Coordinates and/or participatesin the delivery of patient care ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies, procedures, and standards ofpractice. • Serves as a resource supporting frontline team members and providers as appropriate. • Supports clinical collaboration focusing on expected patient length of stay. • Performs direct patient care activities as required to meet operational needs. • Interfaceswithpatients andfamiliesto enhance customer experience by conducting Nurse Leader rounds and investigating and responding to patient/family and physiciancomplaints. • Participates in and/or leads safety huddles. • Embraces, communicates, and promotes change and problem solving. • Assesses equipment needs to ensure staff have the needed equipment for patient care, and they can appropriately utilize equipment. • Supports and sustains all leader-driveninitiatives. • Assists with retention strategies for new team members that fosters a best place to work environment. • Maintains a regulatory ready environment of care. • Ensures the appropriate allocation/adjustment of staff, assignment of meal breaks, relief of team members as indicated, etc. • Utilizes effective fiscal management skills and financial resources with decision-making. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications Education/Training • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
