    E S S E NTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    + Assist in fastening steel members to cable of hoist, cable, slings or rope.

    + Assist in forcing members into final position, using turnbuckles, sleever bars, come alongs, jacks, and hand tools.

    + Assist in aligning holes in member with corresponding holes in previously placed member by drifting drift pins or handle of wrench through holes. Align bolt holes with spud wrenches, sleever bars, bull pins and/or drift pins.

    + Assist in bolting aligned members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded in place.

    + Assist in cutting and welding of steel members to make modifications using oxyacetylene torch, cut off wheels, porta bans and (arc) electric welding equipment.

    + Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman.
