Summary: This position is assigned to the Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy (IDYCA), functioning within the State of Idaho - Military Division. The Academy campus is located in Pierce, Idaho. The purpose of IDYCA is to intervene in and reclaim the lives of disengaged youth through education and mentoring, empowering youth to improve their academic level and employment potential and become responsible and productive citizens of Idaho and the United States. The Academy is an intensive residential academic intervention for "At Risk" 16-18-year-old Idaho youth, directed and sponsored by the State of Idaho - Military Division/Idaho National Guard. It provides a unique educational opportunity within an intensive military structure and overview. Student Cadets participate in daily activities such as academic instruction, service to community, drill and ceremony, housekeeping, personal hygiene and physical fitness. Youth applicants are invited to a 2-week acclimation period to determine their desire and commitment to participate. The Acclimation Phase is followed by a two-phase enterprise consisting of: 1) a 20-week Residential Phase, and; 2) a 12-month Post-Residential Phase consisting of life planning, community re-integration, and mentoring. The Academy focuses on eight core components that define all dimensions of a person's success relative to personal achievement and social contributions. The components are Leadership/Followership, Service to Community, Job Skills, Academic Excellence, Responsible Citizenship, Life-Coping Skills, Health and Hygiene, and Physical Fitness. Minimum Qualifications:
* Must have a minimum of two (2) seasons of previous experience in a resource-related field OR one (1) season of previous experience and two (2) years of college education in a resource-related field OR equivalent experience.
* National Interagency Incident Management System (NIIMS) qualified in one or more Single Resource Boss positions and/or ICT4 or greater
* Ability to perform strenuous work for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to use a radio, use resource management equipment, and read maps.
* Some knowledge of computer processing and use, GIS/GPS interface, and data recording.
* Must be able to perform strenuous and arduous work outside for up to 16 hours per day.
* Must be willing to work in isolated locations for 14-21 days at a time (required in some locations).
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must possess a valid driver's license.
Helicopter Crewmember
Example of Job Duties:
* Perform and assist in wildland fire suppression operations and hazard management projects.
* Assist the HMGB in wildland fire aviation operations to include preparing helicopter manifests, conducting passenger briefings and transport, preparing internal and or external cargo loads, directing water drops, constructing or preparing landing zones or helispots, following proper procedures for loading/unloading helicopter, marshaling helicopters, managing helispots and/or dipsites, and performing other tasks necessary to effectively suppress wildland fires from the air.
* Operate and maintain firefighting equipment, construct Fireline, and assist with ignition operations.
* May be assigned to carry out specialized assignments such as tree falling, backfire, and burnout operations; utilizes a variety of specialized tools, equipment, and techniques while actively suppressing wildfires.
* May perform other duties as assigned including forestry management activities.
* May be required to operate light vehicles, chain saws, portable pumps, and ATV/UTVs.
* May supervise additional HECM's and assist with training.

Full-time Description
The primary role of the Registered Nurse is to supervise staff, monitor patients, implement treatments, develop patient care plans for long-term needs, administer medications, follow-up with families and provide the highest quality of care to all residents/patients. Provides clinical care in compliance with current federal and state guidelines, and company regulations.

Essential Functions
Provides the highest quality of patient care to facility residents/patients.
Documents care performed and observations of resident status in the clinical record promptly by utilizing standard clinical documentation guidelines as required by the facility, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Communicates with resident's physician.
Completes all nursing documentation: assessments, orders, progress notes, flowsheets, consents, and any assigned tasks and ensures that said documentation accurately reflects services required by the resident and provided to the residents.
Participates in medication management to promote optimal safety and effectiveness for residents by:
Administering medications as ordered, including next scheduled dose following admission/readmission. Notifies Supervisor of medications not available;
Preparing, administering and documenting medications as prescribed;
Observing and reporting resident responses to medication;
Identifying and promptly communicating adverse drug reactions;
Initiating enteral or parenteral therapy as ordered;
Maintaining narcotic records accurately;
Ordering or arranging for ordering of pharmaceuticals;
Notifying physicians of automatic stop order; and/or
Completing recapitulated physician orders review, as assigned.
Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments with residents. Directs and administers cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
Other Functions
Ensures compliance with company's clinical policies and procedures.
Follows the guidelines established from the Nurse Practice Act, company standards, policies and procedures and sound nursing judgment.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
