We are currently searching for an experienced APP to work with our Providers at our Pediatric office location in Charlotte. This position requires collaboration with all health care team members including PA?s, NPs, physicians, administrative and ancillary staff. This candidate will be trained for a new urgent ortho care position in Charlotte within the pediatric orthopedic department. This clinic will provide walk-in accessibility for acute pediatric orthopedic injuries and/or concerns. Physicians and peer PA/NP?s will be available either in the clinic or remotely. The candidate will undergo comprehensive training in pediatric orthopedics before successfully transitioning into this role. This is a great opportunity for an energetic and motivated PA to provide exceptional patient care in a high-volume company that values teamwork, quality care and a healthy community. We are looking for a PA that is adaptable to the dynamic nature of medicine and is invested in both personal and professional growth.
Qualified candidates should have excellent communication skills and work well in a team-based environment. Our providers treat a diverse patient population in and around the Charlotte metropolitan area which requires covering various satellite locations. Candidate should be comfortable dealing with pediatric patients and caregivers. Excellent organization and time management skills required. Hands on experience includes splinting, cast application and removal, closed manipulations of fracture/dislocations, digital blocks, and joint aspiration/injection and (possible first assisting in the OR).
PA will primarily work at the main Charlotte campus and rotate to satellites as needed.
Education required:
Graduate of AMA accredited physicianassistant program.
Experience required:
Prior experience in the field of orthopedics is preferred but not required.
Prior experience as a physicianassistant is preferred but not required.
Professional license or certification requirement:
Active North Carolina PA/NP license
Certification by National Commission on Certification of PhysicianAssistants

Essential Functions
Assist in the management of hand surgery as-well-as general orthopedic injuries/conditions
Participate in the initial evaluation & treatment of in-patient orthopedic consults: obtaining history, performing physical exams, ordering and reviewing appropriate diagnostic studies and imaging, and conferring with supervising orthopedic surgeon
Perform splinting, bracing, casting, orthopedic injections/aspirations, and local wound care in the in-patient and out-patient settings
Assist in the OR as needed for elective and urgent/emergent cases
Assist the supervising physician in clinic
Manage and direct patient post-operative care in the hospital and clinical setting
Participate in the rotating APP orthopedic practice call and ED call schedule
Assist in facilitating the discharge and disposition of orthopedic in-patients
Increase orthopedic knowledge through educational opportunities and clinical experience
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a PhysicianAssistant. Graduate from an accredited PhysicianAssistant program required; Master?s Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of PhysicianAssistants preferred.BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct primary care evaluations to determine individual patient?s needs for primary care services for patients who have valid consent and authorization for service. Consultations with the Medical Director or ?other? medical providers when necessary.
2. Administer patient medication reviews as needed. Provide written documentation of findings, which must immediately be given to the site contact person for inclusion in the patient's records at the contract site.
3. Provide services in accordance with LifeSource site-specific protocols.
4. Upload documentation and billing records at the end of each day to the LifeSource EMR system and perform any other required end of day tasks as outlined in the Clinical Services Manual.
5. Establish and maintain open and positive communications with contract site staff, physicians ordering services and interested parties legally authorized to discuss care. Provide verbal and/or written instruction or feedback regarding medications and other pertinent caregiver information.
6. Be knowledgeable of and adhere to LifeSource standards, policies and procedures as indicated in the Clinical Services Manual. Be aware of and adhere to all legal and regulatory agencies' rules and guidelines and professional ethical standards.
7. Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
8. Perform other duties and activities as appropriate and/or assigned by LifeSource Management.
9. Attend ongoing training to support certifications, licensures that are appropriate to the position.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Masters degree in Nursing/PhysicianAssistant Studies from an accredited educational institution and a current and valid license to practice in North Carolina. All other certifications necessary to perform one's duties must be current and valid, required.
Have an active Federal DEA or ability to process one
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and regulations to give and evaluate patient care.
Knowledge of rules and regulations of bodies governing health care.
Knowledge of organization?s policies and procedures.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Skill in gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic and emotional patient data.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or PhysicianAssistant (PA) to join our team full time. The NP/PA will provide clinical leadership within our infusion center, overseeing infusion staff and collaborating with pharmacists, providers, and patients to ensure safe and effective administration of specialty medications. This role combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, supporting both clinical outcomes and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the infusion center, including assessment, monitoring, and management of infusion therapies.
Oversee infusion nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with pharmacists, referring providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
Evaluate patients for therapy readiness, manage adverse reactions, and adjust care plans as appropriate.
Educate patients and families on infusion therapies, expected outcomes, and self-care.
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff, fostering professional development and a culture of excellence.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Support operational workflows within the infusion center to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Review prior authorizations, clinical documentation, and insurance requirements to help ensure reimbursement and timely access to specialty therapies.
Qualifications
Current licensure in North Carolina as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or PhysicianAssistant (PA).
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in infusion therapy or a related specialty preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
