**Job Summary and Responsibilities** **Orthopedic Surgeon - Federal Way, WA** St. Francis Hospital is part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, one of the largest health care systems in the Puget Sound area. Opened in 1987, St. Francis Hospital (******************************************************* is licensed for 158 beds and provides care to the Puget Sound areas south of Seattle. Candidates should be collegial team players with good patient and customer service skills. Our medical group is committed to being the Puget Sound's first choice for healing body, mind and spirit. We are looking for physicians and professional providers who embody a passion for excellence to help us achieve our goal.
We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to join our well established, busy practice on the campus of St. Francis Hospital located between Seattle and Tacoma.
The team is currently comprised of two board certified orthopedic surgeons and two PA's who provide first assist and patient clinic care. Applicants should have an interest in total joint replacements including hips and knees. Schedule includes clinic, OR, and shared night/weekend call coverage. The current schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, with call duties of 1:4.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
+ Performs pre-operative and post-operative care in clinics
+ Performs comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
+ Interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests in clinics
+ Formulates a treatment plan for orthopedic conditions
+ Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as aspirations and injections of joints, bursars and cysts.
+ Applies braces, casts, splints and other orthopedic appliances
+ Conducts hospital rounds, writes orders, takes call and sees patients in the ED
Compensation Range: $277.92 - $446.13 per hour. Starting Salary Guarantee followed by wRVU model.
+ Guaranteed Starting Salary with a wRVU compensation model following the guarantee period.

Join a team of highly trained orthopedic surgeons, including two fellowship-trained total joint surgeons in Seattle and three total joints surgeons in Bellevue, WA.
Focus on primary and revision total joints arthroplasty.

Supervise and mentor dental assistants chair-side.
