Job Description:
This is an opportunity for a new or established plastic surgeon to join five board certified plastic surgeons at a Level one trauma center in the largest city in Ohio (Columbus). This is a growing practice with ample opportunity for both personal and professional growth as well as mentorship. The position is focused on a general reconstructive practice including general wound reconstruction, trauma reconstruction, limb reconstruction, hand surgery and face surgery. There is also ample opportunity for development of an elective practice including breast reconstruction, body contouring and cosmetic procedures if the candidate has additional interest in this area.
The position is supported by a team of four Advanced practice providers, and residents from multiple disciplines who help support the practice in the outpatient clinic, inpatient setting and operating room.
The primary hospital (Grant Medical Center) is the busiest Level one trauma center in the region with major physical expansion planned in the next five years. This is a growing hospital system and region with multiple areas of practice growth expected.
Expectations:
Candidate must be able to obtain hand privileges and willing to take hand call
Candidate must be capable and willing to take level one facial trauma call including dental-alveolar trauma
Call Expectations (1:5th night for hand call, 1:5th night for plastics call)
Anywhere from 3-10 operative consults from each day of call
