This position is to be a full faculty member in the CCHMC division of Congenital Heart Surgery and report to the Chief of the Division. The faculty will be a member of our Congenital Heart Surgery lab and able to participate on a variety of research efforts. The selected candidate for this role will operate as a stand-by network surgeon who supports Cincinnati Children's partnered hospital systems such as Akron Children's Hospital, Kentucky Children's Hospital, Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and other partners. The candidate will be able to reside where they desire but will need to be available within 72 hours to report to a partner site. The surgeon will support the development and growth of the Heart Network with CCHMC while directly working with the Chief Cardiothoracic Surgeon at each Heart Network location. The assignments will vary in duration and notice period and may include vacation coverage, weekend and holiday on-call shifts, monthly shifts, coverage for several months, or an ongoing assignment.
