Job Summary:
This setting may require the General Surgeon to coordinate with local hospitals to determine local capabilities, coordinate admission, monitor and arrange final disposition. In addition, this setting may require stabilization of patients and coordination of evacuation of patients to medevac center or CONUS. Must be current in all required certifications.
Participate in training, (including HIPAA training).
Shall demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic word processing programs.
Must have a valid, current U.S. Driver's License.
Must have a valid U.S. Passport with no less than 6 months remaining before expiration.
Requires a favorable security background check and drug screen.
Requires a favorably adjudicated CNACI investigation conducted by the Department of Defense.
Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
Must sign an International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the IAA.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent completion of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or comparable advanced trauma course featuring “live tissue” or exceptional simulation training is desirable.
Completion of a trauma fellowship will merit particular consideration.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be "medically and dentally fit" in accordance with Acuity Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as directed by the Client.
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
