Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate and diagnose patients with cardiothoracic conditions through medical history review, physical examination, imaging studies, and diagnostic testing. Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures, which may include coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair or replacement, thoracic aortic surgery, and other cardiac and thoracic operations consistent with training and experience. Provide preoperative assessment and risk stratification, including patient and family counseling regarding surgical options and expected outcomes.
