Performs computer data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and/or phlebotomy Processes specimens for laboratory testing Competent in the collection or processing of specialized samples. Performs with minimal error rate. Acts as a trainer and is a resource to other Specimen Processor Phlebotomists. Needs minimal supervision and problems solves with little or no supervision. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Qualifications EducationHigh School Equivalent / GED (Required) and Other Accredited Program: Formal Training from an accredited phlebotomy school or medical assistant program (preferred) (Preferred) Work Experience1+ years phlebotomy experience (Required) or 1+ years specimen processing experience (Required) or less than 1 year Funding Healthcare Futures Program Participant (entry level) (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Initiaties and maintains positive relationships with patients, customers, co-workers.
