Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. 3rd shift differential is $2.25/hour.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Relaying information via charting and communicating to team members.
Informs licensed nurse of any changes in patient condition/needs, of patient complaints, and of patient/significant other educational needs.
Answers patients' calls for help, takes their vital signs, and monitors their behavior and physical condition for progress or deterioration. Assists with baths, ambulating, feeding, skin care, personal and oral hygiene and making occupied and unoccupied beds. Performs dressing changes, enemas, ostomy care, toileting, turning, cough and deep breathing, catheter care, collection of biological specimens, measuring and recording intake and output of fluids.
Prepares patients for discharge and accompanies them upon dismissal as indicated.
Stocks and maintains supplies and equipment in keeping with patient care needs and cost containment.
Assists with delegated clerical duties such as answering telephones, relaying messages, transcription of physician orders, preparing and organizing the patient's medical record.
Orients new patients and significant others to the nursing unit.
Performs mechanical and manual operation of equipment as recommended in user's manual, with ability to recognize common mechanical problems and initiate appropriate corrective action.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant is a key member of the patient care team by supporting physicians and other clinicians in the delivery of high-quality health care to ambulatory patients. Major Responsibilities:

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Performs dressing changes, enemas, ostomy care, toileting, turning, cough and deep breathing, catheter care, collection of biological specimens, measuring and recording intake and output of fluids.
Prepares patients for discharge and accompanies them upon dismissal as indicated.
Stocks and maintains supplies and equipment in keeping with patient care needs and cost containment.
Assists with delegated clerical duties such as answering telephones, relaying messages, transcription of physician orders, preparing and organizing the patient's medical record.
Orients new patients and significant others to the nursing unit.
Performs mechanical and manual operation of equipment as recommended in user's manual, with ability to recognize common mechanical problems and initiate appropriate corrective action.
May perform point of care testing according to policies and procedures.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Performs dressing changes, enemas, ostomy care, toileting, turning, cough and deep breathing, catheter care, collection of biological specimens, measuring and recording intake and output of fluids.
+ Prepares patients for discharge and accompanies them upon dismissal as indicated.
+ Stocks and maintains supplies and equipment in keeping with patient care needs and cost containment.
+ Assists with delegated clerical duties such as answering telephones, relaying messages, transcription of physician orders, preparing and organizing the patient's medical record.
+ Orients new patients and significant others to the nursing unit.
+ Performs mechanical and manual operation of equipment as recommended in user's manual, with ability to recognize common mechanical problems and initiate appropriate corrective action.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Medical Assistant Care Guide is responsible for registering, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, discharging, and following-up with patients. It is the role of the Care Guide to companion patients and their "secondary guests" through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize the patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit.
The Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back-office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This role is responsible for a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

OR Education equivalency: at least 6 months' experience in Certified Medical Assistant role OR proof of completion of on-the-job training/education program for certified medical assisting in another healthcare organization.
Licensure/ Certification: CMA-Certified Medical Assistant Current certification by one the following approved certifying agencies:
