The Internal Controls FinanceAnalyst supports internal controls, SOX compliance, policy and procedure implementation and process improvement for all business units within the Oshkosh Vocational Segment. This position assists in the identification and communication of internal control issues and opportunities, and the support of the resolution of these issues and opportunities. The Internal Controls FinanceAnalyst reports to the Vocational Segment Internal Controls Manager.
YOUR IMPACT

Support the execution of the segment's SOX compliance program, including walkthroughs, control documentation, and testing of key controls.
Assist in evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
Process data and analysis related to SOX testing results, deficiencies, and remediation tracking in coordination with control owners.
Promote a strong control environment and continuous improvement mindset across the segment.
Interact with other departments (BU finance teams, Internal Audit, IT) on business and control-related issues. Collaborate with these teams, as well as external auditors, to support effective communication and coordination of control activities.
Support control owners by sharing internal control requirements and best practices.
Promote compliance with established global and local policies, processes and internal control frameworks.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly/quarterly reports (e.g., internal control metrics, certifications, dashboards).
Assist in the management and administration of business processes, such as SOX calendars, documentation, and control repositories.
Partner with the Vocational business unit teams to support robust internal controls in place and operating effectively, as well as being a point person to assist the business units with internal control questions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Two (2) or more years of relevant experience OR Finance/Accounting internship within Oshkosh Corporation.
Strong understanding of internal controls over financial reporting and basic accounting principles.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Prior experience supporting internal or external audits.
CPA, CIA, or progress toward professional certification.

* Analyze the cost impact of engineering changes, process improvements, and supplier pricing changes
* Support pricing, quoting, and margin analysis for new and existing products
* Ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and labor standards from a cost perspective
Reporting & Compliance
* Develop and maintain cost reports, dashboards, and KPIs for manufacturing performance
* Ensure compliance with standard cost accounting practices, internal controls, and audit requirements
* Support internal and external audits related to inventory and cost accounting
Qualifications
Required
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
* 3+ years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting or financial analysis
* Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting methodologies
* Experience analyzing material, labor, and overhead variances
* Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE)
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
* Advanced skills in Power BI or other data visualization tools (construction of reports and usage)
Preferred
* Experience in discrete or job-shop manufacturing environments
* Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
* Experience supporting pricing, quoting, or sales margin analysis

Assist and support the Finance Department within Oshkosh Defense.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
* Work with purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, integrated logistics systems and other functional areas to develop cost estimates for proposals and quotations
* Work with contracts (both domestic and international) to develop full understanding of customer requirements for the product and/or service being quoted
* Create a complete, accurate, and timely cost /price proposal for submittal to customers
* Analyze and relay the financial/business impact of a proposal internally to the finance team
* Take on and resolve special projects as assigned by the pricing manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field throughout the entire duration of the internship
* Graduation date on or after December 2027.
* This is a YEAR-ROUND opportunity. Individual must be willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for full duration or part of the internship.
