DUTIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs multiple duties requiring moderate skills as follows:

Assists in processing purchase orders as authorized by the Child Development Director and/or Assistant Director.
Maintains inventories of office equipment, computers, tablets, and other program property.
Maintains operational functions including user security and access in applicable database systems.
Maintains full familiarity with all applicable guidelines pertaining to the program and immediately reports, in writing, any
deviations to CACFP Coordinator.
Assists in the development of CACFP Management Plans/Budgets for Centers and the Head Start federal grant application.
Plans meals, in conjunction with the catering sites and contracted dietician, which meet the USDA requirements for
preschool children and children who require special dietary modifications.
Calculates, monitors, and submits monthly CACFP claims for Head Start centers.
Prepares contracts for Head Start catering sites. Meets with site personnel to update and review contracts as needed.
Conducts two unannounced site visits in each Head Start classroom annually to ensure compliance with applicable
regulations.
Tracks all required information regarding nutrition service delivery areas for Head Start program and funding reports.
Develops and monitors nutritional training for all Head Start staff.
Provides additional training and support for nutrition staff per new employee orientation schedule or individual staff
development plans.
Reviews and approves monthly nutrition activities.
Provides regular written and oral reports for nutrition services to the CACFP Coordinator and/or the Child Development
Director.
Assists the CACFP Coordinator in identifying training needs and potential resources.
Other duties determined necessary to achieve the goals of the agency.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Receives periodic supervision regarding task guidelines and completion.
DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:
Limited independent decision-making authority.
ADDITIONAL TRAINING:
Obtain training required by Sieda and Child and Adult Care Food program guidelines.
Must complete required training hours annually, per Iowa Bureau of Nutrition and Health for Child and Adult Care Food

Must have up to date certification in CPR/First Aid and Universal Precautions.

What you will do?

Maintain regular contact with the referring HHS worker and FCS provider throughout the coordination of the SFM and/or YTDM Meeting.
Prepare family, youth, and identified team members prior to the SFM and/or YTDM Meeting occurring.
Document service delivery as outlined by the agency.
Meet internal and contractual guidelines for facilitating SFMs and YTDM Meetings.
Demonstrate the skills and competencies outlined in the SFM and YTDM Facilitator Training for facilitation of SFMs and YTDM Meetings.
Assist families, youth, and teams with identifying community services and interventions that will assist families with reaching self-sufficiency.
Calmly and effectively provide crisis intervention in emergency or contentious situations.
Demonstrate flexibility with providing services to families and youth outside of normal business hours in addition to working on a team and assist other team members as requested.

Our Assistant Store Managers are responsible for managing, training, and coaching store employees.
