Enterprise Account Executive
Oso job in New York, NY
Old problem, new $25B+ market
Companies like AWS, Stripe, and Twilio have shown that if a technology isn't core to your value proposition, you should offload it. Still, every engineering team builds and rebuilds one piece: authorization, how you control who has access to what in your app. We intend to change that.
We see a world where developers never roll their own authorization again, and instead say, "Just use Oso" - the same way you might say, "Oh, you should just use Postgres for that." In doing so, we're creating the $25B+ authorization market.
Why Oso?
We have the lead - in traction, capital, and team.
Traction: Oso is used by thousands of companies from startups to the Fortune 500, like Wayfair, ProductBoard, Vanta, Brex, Verizon, ZoomInfo, and Duolingo.
Capital: We're backed by the world's best investors, including Sequoia, Felicis, and a standout group of infrastructure founders and operators: Olivier Pomel (Founder, Datadog), Dev Ittycheria (CEO, MongoDB), Armon Dadgar (Founder, HashiCorp), Edith Harbaugh (Founder, LaunchDarkly), Guy Podjarny (Founder, Snyk), Paul Copplestone (Founder, Supabase), Christina Cacioppo (Founder, Vanta), and Calvin French-Owen (Founder, Segment).
Team: We've spent 5+ years going deep on the domain. We've met with thousands of engineering teams and know more about this problem than anyone. And we have two of the best developer go-to-market leaders on earth who have done it before at MongoDB and Snyk.
Why now?
We're at an inflection point. What it takes to get from where we are today to a world where developers say “Just use Oso” is going to be different. And we see that.
The opportunity is for you to join at this inflection point, in a role that's bigger and different than usual.

Develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging
Identify prospecting tools to research and target prospects
Who you are
You're ambitious. You want to win big. You can't stand to be around anything but execution at the highest level. You have an inner motor to move fast.
You're an owner. You are accountable to results over the process. You see yourself not just as an sales person, but also as an owner of the company.
You're resilient. Building a startup is not for the faint of heart. You see the challenges as not just normal, but actually desirable.
You want to grow, and help others grow. You self-reflect often. You give feedback, and you seek it out.
Requirements
5+ years B2B SaaS Sales experience
2+ years of experience closing deals ranging from $50K-$150K+

What you'll do
Shape the story - You'll contribute to product marketing, helping to craft the positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy for Oso's products.
Execute our demand gen engine - You'll design and run campaigns to get Oso in front of developers and decision-makers, driving qualified leads through multi-channel strategies.

Accelerate adoption - You'll ensure that when developers land on Oso, they understand the value quickly and find a clear path to adoption through optimized landing pages, nurture campaigns, and onboarding flows.
Optimize for growth - You'll experiment relentlessly-testing copy, channels, and strategies to refine and scale what works.
Who you are
You're technical enough to grok developer tools and comfortable engaging with technical audiences.
You can simplify complex, technical topics into concise and punchy writing.
You've owned demand generation and/or product marketing for a B2B SaaS company, ideally one targeting developers.
You have a deep understanding of the B2B marketing funnel and how to build effective, scalable campaigns.
You know how to experiment, track metrics, and optimize for performance. You care about results over vanity metrics.
You're a builder-comfortable operating in ambiguity and excited to define your own playbook.
Why you might not want to join Oso
We're a high-ownership environment. You won't be handed a playbook; you'll be expected to build it. If you prefer highly structured roles, Oso might not be the right fit. But if you want to own marketing strategy at an inflection point startup, this is it.

Why now?
We're at an inflection point. We've built the foundation-an incredible product, a growing community, and a developer-first motion. Now we need a Product Marketing Manager to help us connect the dots between what we've built and the people who need it.

Launch new features - Lead go-to-market for new launches and improvements. From docs to announcements to onboarding flows, you'll make sure users understand the value.

Bridge product and users - Talk to users, surface insights, and help shape the roadmap by being the voice of the market.
Who you are
You've done product marketing at a B2B SaaS or developer tools company.

You've launched products or features and know how to plan GTM from start to finish.
You understand developers-you know how they evaluate tools, how they prefer to learn, and what makes a message resonate.
You're curious, resourceful, and thrive in fast-moving environments.
Why you might not want to join Oso
There's no big team to plug into-yet. If you prefer clear lines and static playbooks, Oso might not be the right fit. But if you want to help define product marketing at a company building a new category, you'll thrive here.

The opportunity is for you to join at this inflection point, in a role that's bigger and different than usual.
What you'll do
Educate the world on Authorization. This is a new topic for many engineers which grows with complexity as applications become more complex. The developer community needs your guidance on the best approaches to take and the challenges to anticipate. At Oso you'll become that expert and engage with our users to help them navigate these challenging problems.
Help developers discover Oso. Get the word out on Oso, inspire users and help them adopt it with demos and sample apps, blog posts, tutorials, and videos, plus talks at meetups, conferences and on podcasts.
Engage with our users. Engage with users through various channels (e.g., Slack) to help them with their problems. Capture feedback and feed it back into our roadmap, and convey our roadmap and progress back to the user community to close the loop.
Acquire new users: Help developers learn about authorization and create compelling reasons to try Oso.
Grow our community engagement programs: Help us build deeper relationships with the developers using Oso, growing memberships in our community programs.
Requirements
You have experience as a professional developer working in more than one programming language
You can create clear and creative technical writing, and you can demonstrate this by sharing long-form writing samples upon request
You have worked at a startup or in a similar environment
A plus for those who have built authorization systems before (and who have lived to tell the tale)
You have a track record of delivering great technical talks at small or large conferences, meetups, hackathons or similar
Who you are
You're an owner. You are accountable to results over the process. You prioritize the team's success over the success of any one project.
You ship, listen, ship, listen. You're happy to explore product ideas through design, hacks and guides before building something fully baked. You have no problem throwing away ideas and code if they don't pan out. You get satisfaction from getting concrete output into users' hands.
You're for the makers. You want to understand our end users' world and prioritize solving their authorization problems above everything else, including your own personal preferences and the elegance of the solution.
You give and take feedback. You seek out critical feedback. You have the courage to give critical feedback to others.

Engineering Manager
What you'll do
You have the opportunity to make a career-defining impact while still having the fundamentals of the business de-risked (e.g., market, funding, traction).
Take the foundation that we have, and work with our cofounder/CTO to build out the vision. This includes not just how things work under the hood. Getting developer experience right, for instance, is a key ingredient to winning the market, and you will help us get this right too.
Recruit the absolute best engineers - engineers who want to lean into product and talk to users, who can build a highly technical and complex solution, and who are ready to do whatever it takes. We're still early enough that you will help shape the culture.
Lead the engineering team by setting ambitious goals and inspiring the team to deliver.
Get your hands dirty and jump in on whatever else it takes to build the company.
Work with the founder/CEO and other execs (e.g. marketing, sales) to make Oso wildly successful.
Who you are
You're ambitious. You want to win big. You can't stand to be around anything but execution at the highest level. You have an inner motor to move fast.
You're an owner. You are accountable to results over the process. You see yourself not just as a leader of the engineering team, but also as a leader of the company.
You're resilient. Building a startup is not for the faint of heart. You see the challenges as not just normal, but actually desirable.
You want to grow, and help others grow. You self-reflect often. You give feedback, and you seek it out.
You prioritize the customer above all else. You want to understand our users' world and prioritize solving their authorization problems above everything else.
...and you inspire the same in those around you.
Requirements
You have thrived working in a startup
Experience leading and growing an engineering team in a high-growth company
Experience as a programmer and/or engineering leader building complex systems at varying levels of the stack
Benefits
In addition to cash compensation, Oso offers a Total Rewards package that includes equity grants, health benefits, and more:
Competitive health, dental, and vision coverage
Mental healthcare to all employees and anyone in their family through Spring Health
Unlimited access to financial advisors through Northstar
Equity Package
Unlimited paid time off (PTO)
Paid parental leave
Flexible work options
One Medical Membership
Quarterly hackathons... and prizes!
Free team lunches every month
The starting salary for this role is between $195,000-$240,000/year plus equity. Your exact offer will vary based on a number of factors including experience level, skillset, market location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
Oso is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.

Engineering Manager
Oso job in New York, NY
Old problem, new $25B+ market Companies like AWS, Stripe, and Twilio have shown that if a technology isn't core to your value proposition, you should offload it.
* Traction: Oso is used by thousands of companies from startups to the Fortune 500, like Wayfair, ProductBoard, Vanta, Brex, Verizon, ZoomInfo, and Duolingo.
* Capital: We're backed by the world's best investors, including Sequoia, Felicis, and a standout group of infrastructure founders and operators: Olivier Pomel (Founder, Datadog), Dev Ittycheria (CEO, MongoDB), Armon Dadgar (Founder, HashiCorp), Edith Harbaugh (Founder, LaunchDarkly), Guy Podjarny (Founder, Snyk), Paul Copplestone (Founder, Supabase), Christina Cacioppo (Founder, Vanta), and Calvin French-Owen (Founder, Segment).
* Team: We've spent 5+ years going deep on the domain. We've met with thousands of engineering teams and know more about this problem than anyone. And we have two of the best developer go-to-market leaders on earth who have done it before at MongoDB and Snyk.
Why now?
We're at an inflection point. What it takes to get from where we are today to a world where developers say "Just use Oso" is going to be different. And we see that.
The opportunity is for you to join at this inflection point, in a role that's bigger and different than usual.
What you'll do
You have the opportunity to make a career-defining impact while still having the fundamentals of the business de-risked (e.g., market, funding, traction).
* Take the foundation that we have, and work with our cofounder/CTO to build out the vision. This includes not just how things work under the hood. Getting developer experience right, for instance, is a key ingredient to winning the market, and you will help us get this right too.
* Recruit the absolute best engineers - engineers who want to lean into product and talk to users, who can build a highly technical and complex solution, and who are ready to do whatever it takes. We're still early enough that you will help shape the culture.
* Lead the engineering team by setting ambitious goals and inspiring the team to deliver.
* Get your hands dirty and jump in on whatever else it takes to build the company.
* Work with the founder/CEO and other execs (e.g. marketing, sales) to make Oso wildly successful.
Who you are
* You're ambitious. You want to win big. You can't stand to be around anything but execution at the highest level. You have an inner motor to move fast.
* You're an owner. You are accountable to results over the process. You see yourself not just as a leader of the engineering team, but also as a leader of the company.
* You're resilient. Building a startup is not for the faint of heart. You see the challenges as not just normal, but actually desirable.
* You want to grow, and help others grow. You self-reflect often. You give feedback, and you seek it out.
* You prioritize the customer above all else. You want to understand our users' world and prioritize solving their authorization problems above everything else.
...and you inspire the same in those around you.
Requirements
* You have thrived working in a startup
* Experience leading and growing an engineering team in a high-growth company
* Experience as a programmer and/or engineering leader building complex systems at varying levels of the stack
Benefits
In addition to cash compensation, Oso offers a Total Rewards package that includes equity grants, health benefits, and more:
* Competitive health, dental, and vision coverage
* Mental healthcare to all employees and anyone in their family through Spring Health
* Unlimited access to financial advisors through Northstar
* Equity Package
* Unlimited paid time off (PTO)
* Paid parental leave
* Flexible work options
* One Medical Membership
* Quarterly hackathons... and prizes!
* Free team lunches every month
The starting salary for this role is between $195,000-$240,000/year plus equity. Your exact offer will vary based on a number of factors including experience level, skillset, market location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
Oso is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.

What you'll do
You'll be the founding sales leader at Oso and define how we go to market. You'll work directly with our Founder/CEO and Fractional CRO to:
Build and lead a high-performing enterprise sales team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and career development.
Own frontline management: set quotas, manage pipeline, review deals, and drive consistent overachievement.
Lead by example - prospect, run discovery, build champions, run POCs, negotiate, and close enterprise deals.
Develop and execute our outbound strategy, refining pitch and positioning in collaboration with leadership, product, and marketing.
Experiment with outbound techniques (calling, email, social) and scale what works.
Identify and implement tools, processes, and playbooks to accelerate growth.
Help shape Oso's sales culture, setting ambitious goals and inspiring the team to deliver.
Who you are
Hands-on leader. You inspire by doing: closing deals, refining messaging, and coaching reps daily.
Talent builder. You know how to hire, develop, and retain exceptional enterprise sellers.
Strategic executor. You can both design the playbook and run it yourself.
Owner. You measure yourself on outcomes, not activity, and think like a company-builder.
Resilient. You embrace challenges and thrive in the ambiguity of startup growth.
Growth-minded. You self-reflect, seek feedback, and help others grow with you.
Customer-obsessed. You want to understand our users' world and solve their problems above all else.
