What you'll do:
Work on dynamic projects as a fully integrated member of the design team, participating at all phases of design.
Develop a thorough understanding of a project s design philosophy and provide input in developing a design and building performance strategy.

The Senior Paleontologist will work as part of a dynamic team that is based in Southern California but includes staff members across the United States. Stantec Paleontology is one of the largest paleontological mitigation programs in the country, holding numerous statewide Bureau of Land Management and project-specific United States Forest Service and National Park Service paleontological permits. Our team includes over 30 paleontologists, including field technicians and directors, fossil preparators, and principal investigators. Within this team, the Senior Paleontologist will direct compliance projects for state, federal, and commercial clients and is responsible for overseeing project development, direction, coordination, and quality control, under the guidance of the Principal Paleontologist. Additionally, the Senior Paleontologist will train staff, oversee field directors, produce quality reports, manage multiple projects and budgets, author proposals and participate in marketing, as required.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Create and maintain spatial and non-spatial information for a variety of platforms primarily involving ESRI ArcGIS Software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online (AGO)).
* Work in Windows 10 Enterprise and using MS Office suite of applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint).
* Produce custom thematic map products and carry out data analysis/summaries to support multidisciplinary project deliverables.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
Required:

We are seeking a Project Manager for our Energy & Resources business line to lead multi-discipline project teams in the execution of THERMAL GENERATION PROJECTS. The project scope will be for either Owner's Engineer or Detailed Engineering/Design services for simple cycle, combined cycle, and/or repowering projects. The Project Manager will provide leadership to these state-of -the-art projects to support business line growth and consistently deliver projects successfully.

Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Engineering design and construction experience with power plant projects.
* Expertise in Project management including, team leadership, resource management, scheduling, project controls, reporting and document controls.
* Strong leader and team player, collaborator, and communicator with strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing a team.
* Project management experience in leading projects utilizing various delivery models such as EPC (Engineer Procure Construct), DBB (Design Bid Build), ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) etc.
* Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering services related to energy projects.
* Experience in business development, proposal, and budget development.
* Demonstrated leadership competencies.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to work across multiple offices and geographies.
* Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify when a project is in trouble (e.g., deviations from baseline scope, schedule, or budget) and ability to take corrective action to address the problem.
* Ability to travel to US and Canadian offices and client sites, as required.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizations skills and aptitude for problem solving.
* Proficient in the Microsoft 365 platform including Teams and SharePoint with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel would being beneficial.
* Must have good driving record and valid Driver's License.

Education and Experience
* B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering disciplines, or related fields.

* Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred, but not required.

The Portland Civil office currently consists of 110 employees including staff in our two satellite offices in Eugene and Washington DC. We work on a wide variety of project types, serving public and private clients in land development, transportation, and municipal projects. This includes architectural-led building projects for higher ed campuses, sports facilities, schools, medical campuses, and mixed-use housing. In addition, we work on parks, trails, master planning, and include stormwater management and a sustainability focus on everything we do. KPFF is seeking a self-motivated civil engineer for our Portland, Oregon office. Qualifications
BSCE required
Registered PE (PE preferred, EIT required)
Civil engineering experience including land development, utilities, stormwater/drainage design, parks, ports and public improvements
AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in direct client interactions
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and priorities
Passionate about providing exceptional client service
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn

Compensation
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate for this Civil Engineer position is $78k - $90k and you get paid for every hour you work.
