Position Summary:
Servers at LGA airport are responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and executing the OTG steps of service to the highest standards. Pay rate $11.35 + Tips
Responsibilities:
Follow OTG steps of service, standard operating procedures.
Greet guests pleasantly
Walk guests through the OTG ordering and payment system
Highlight menu, food and beverage options, make suggestions based on guest preferences and/or dietary restrictions/allergies
Follow the OTG cash handling and cash register policies
Maintain cleanliness within the restaurants dining and service stations
Communicate with Chefs and Managers to ensure food is delivered to guests in a timely manner
Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required
Assist team members as needed
Inform MOD on guest complaints/feedback/inquiries
Monitor and report intoxicated guests to MOD
Inform leadership team of low inventory and equipment issues
Perform additional tasks requested by the OTG leadership team
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience as a Server
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including beer, wine and cocktail pairings
Must be at least 18 years of age
Fluent + fully conversational in English
Must become TIPS certified within 90 days of employment
Able to lift, up to 35 lbs. in weight
Must be able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Must be available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions--must be flexible
