It's fun to work in an airport and talk to people from all over the world.
Upper management is unrealistic about how much work and dedication they expect for what they pay. They care more about employees not sitting down when it's slow than they do about overall culture. And my Lord the control issues. Why work on creating a healthy work environment to have less turnover when you can bark at someone taking a sit break during a double shift? A double they're working, by the way, because management can't retain staff.
Cheap shift meals.
Some of them are hands-on, but most of them take their jobs way too seriously.
Paying more, holding toxic employees accountable, practicing empathy, better benefits, more honesty and transparency.
I showed up breathing.
It's a joke even by retail standards.
It's okay.
Meeting people from all over the world.
You get paid weekly
favoritism and the managers don’t help with anything you will most likely be working by yourself because the lack of employees
Pay daily
Lively environment. Decent attempt at training.
Company has no problem burning its people out.
Management receives daily food stipend
If managed correctly, it is a great environment to work in. the guests are fun and my mangers and a few directors are so amazing. but its debilitating when your so exausted all the time .
10+ hour days - 5 days a week - shifts are 4am - 2p so you go home exhausted and have to go rite to sleep to be back at work at 4am , other shits all are parallel to each other in terms of having no time to yourself . the 2 days off are basically spent sleeping to recharge your body. There is ZERO quality of life, My girlfriend broke up with me because of not being able to provide any type of quality time to our relationship. Typical company that pays well but sucks every ounce of life from your motivation.
I believe the stress of this job will bring on a heart attack giving me a week or two off to recover and do laundry and clean my house and have visitors. My Christmas was spent working with a very upset angry family. So yes , the onset of heart disease if my current favorite perk.
Fast past environment, meet different people with valuable information to teach.
Every day was a struggle trying to cover all business needs there was crew shortage almost every day , high demand of work with few resources.of people and supplies.
Free food at fine dinning restaurants. hr and vice presidents are in house for on hand support.
