Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary: This Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) will be providing medical care for an adult female/male populations. The physician must demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to provide patient care as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws. The physician will abide by the mission statement of Larned State Hospital, in addition to all applicable State and Federal laws and guidelines. This physician will be professional in all patient and staff interactions .
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Medical Care
* Follows the progress of the patient, assessing the medical conditions, evaluating the effectiveness of the prescribed regimen, and modifying treatment as indicated
* Orders laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures
* Assesses the need for seclusion and restraint and takes responsibility for justifying such treatment
* Maintains an assigned clinical caseload.
* Consults appropriately with supervisor or other LSH personnel who can provide expertise in special treatment problems, as well as making referrals to consultants as deemed appropriate
* Quality of patient care delivered is reviewed and evaluated on a regular basis by supervisor and subject to peer review process
* Participates in consultations with medical/psychiatric consultants, making adequate preparation and/or completing initial screening tests in order to provide adequate date for the consultant, and follows up as appropriate
* Participates in hospital-wide OD rotation.
Supervisory and Administrative Responsibilities
* Provides supervision to primary care staff including MD/Dos and APRNs
* Communicates with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) regarding primary care staff issues
* Processes primary care staff timesheets
* Assists Medical Staff Administrative Officer in finalizing leave coverage for primary care staff
* Sits on administrative committees
* Chairs Infection Control and Outside Medical Committees
Patient Medical Record
* Documents patient assessments, clinical progress, and rationale for treatment plan and subsequent changes in the treatment plan as required by accrediting agencies and LSH Policy
* Reviews and rewrites medication and treatment orders monthly, or as needed to meet patient's needs
* Completes Discharge Summaries at the time of the patient's discharge within the required time frame
Meetings/Continuing Education/Training/Activities
* Attends and participates in treatment planning meetings and/or staffing and court hearings regarding assigned patients, as well as attending and participating in daily staff meetings as needed
* Attends and actively participates in Medical Staff Conferences, Department Meetings, and Quality Improvement Activities, and other committees or ad hoc committees as assigned.
* Completes CME as needed to maintain licensure.
* Completes training as required by LSH.
* Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to ensuring the agency is adequately staffed during and immediately following natural and/or manmade disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and/or acts of terrorism. Assists other medical staff, as necessary or as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY
The Healthy Families Home Visiting Family Support Specialist (FSS) is responsible for building trusting relationships with families based on the Healthy Families America model. Job Duties - Responsibilities Tasks
1. Provide vehicle specification revision recommendations as necessary.

3. Prepare criteria and bid requests for equipment in accordance with company specifications, analyze bids and negotiate terms and conditions with selected vendors. Periodically review alternatives to current practices for process improvement.
4. Oversee putting each vehicle into service to ensure specifications are met and the operator is knowledgeable about the operation of the vehicle. This job responsibility includes installation of technology and related equipment.
5. Coordinate vehicle repair and maintenance, including warranty oversight and invoice review for the recovery of expenses and cost management.
6. Schedule periodic maintenance and recommend scope of work and specifications for major repairs related to fleet maintenance.
7. Oversee and schedule ongoing installation of company radios and technology, such as AVL. Provide ongoing support for repairs and upkeep of radios and technology.
8. Provide initial fuel card assignments.
9. Recommend and support movement of spare vehicles or vendor loner equipment.
10. Inspect Midwest Energy, Inc. fleet and equipment to assure it is maintained in a safe and orderly manner.
11. Coordinates bucket and digger unit dielectric testing as required. Documents and maintains centrally located records associated with testing, and ensures accuracy of results as required by OSHA and state standards.
12. Assures timely and assertive responses to inspection findings, working closely with Company Safety and Operations managers.
13. Supports accident scene investigation and the development of root cause analysis when fleet and power equipment is involved in accidents.
14. Works with Managers, Foremen, and all personnel to assure adherence to EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations in order to prevent injury, loss or damage.
15. Receive after hours calls on maintenance, breakdowns, accidents or any vehicle-related emergencies from MWE personnel. Coordinate plan of action for required repairs or dispatch of towing with the appropriate vendor(s).
16. Promote safe working habits and enforce all safety rules and regulations of Midwest Energy, Inc. Lead by example in safety compliance and take corrective action on safety violations, defective equipment, and any other practice that may adversely affect a safe working environment.
17. Keep informed regarding new developments, trends, and best practices in relevant field. Recommend changes, initiatives, etc. to management for effective processes and procedures within the company.
18. Keep apprised of changes and developments in pertinent local, State and Federal laws, ordinances and rules, and take appropriate action to stay in compliance with said rules, regulations, etc.
19. Develop and maintain internal and external working relationships for maximum effectiveness in serving Midwest Energy customers and communities. Education and Experience
1. Two-year college degree or technical degree or equivalent experience, with emphases in utility and/or construction equipment maintenance and operation.

Two elementary schools: Roosevelt Elementary - Grades PreK - 1, and Lincoln Elementary - Grades 2 - 5. Hoisington Middle School - Grades 6-8 and Hoisington High School - Grades 9-12. Hoisington is a district with a 1:1 technology plan and community support for the district. This is evidenced by the recent construction of a new building for Lincoln Elementary and security upgrades throughout the district. In 2023, artificial turf and all weather track will be updated at Hoisington High School Football field.
