The opportunity We currently have an opportunity for a Quantitative Analyst Intern to join our Intact Investment Management team in our Plymouth, MN office located at 605 Highway 169 North. This is a full-time, paid internship starting in early June 2026 and lasting approximately 8-12 weeks. Do you want to gain practical experience and learn from seasoned professionals? At Intact, the Quantitative Analyst Intern will be a key team member and relied upon during their summer with us. What is your role? The position will focus on projects related to quantitative investment analysis for the US Fixed Income team. This includes but is not limited to data wrangling, automation, statistical analysis, visualization, financial modelling, as well as industry and market related research. The intern will be an active member in team meetings and discussions around investment strategy, trading, and broader financial market events. The internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in asset management, quantitative analysis, capital markets, security valuation, and programming in an investment setting. Job Functions: Automating portfolio management reports that are actively used in investment decisions. Collect, summarize, and visualize data related to the economy, markets, industries, and companies for ad-hoc analysis Create and enhance financial models for current and prospective investments. Financial data analysis using Bloomberg, EDGAR, and third-party research Participate in daily, monthly, and quarterly meetings. Present to team, senior management, and portfolio managers. Basic Requirements: Finance, Math, Business, Economics, or Computer Science degree (completed or in progress) Programming experience using Python and SQL Experience using Microsoft Office and Bloomberg Strong financial modelling, math, and analytical skills Highly ethical and able to work in a team setting and independently Strong time management skills, ability to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications: Coursework in Fixed Income, Portfolio Management, Securities Analysis, Statistics, or Econometrics Curiosity and passion for all things investments and capital markets Ability to communicate complex topics.
