We are looking to add a
Senior Manager Systems Engineer
to our RUCKUS team. This position is remote, requires 30% or more travel, and the candidate can be located anywhere in the US.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World.
You will support the North American team of sales and systems engineers providing customer and/or partner-focused technical enablement, sales support, and influencing, lead vertical architect. This role will be the MDU subject matter expert and trusted advisor.
Here, this position will collaborate with cross-functional group resources and leadership to define strategies and implement them along with the North American teams. The Systems Engineering teams will use this resource as needed to perform consultative solutions-based discussions with all levels of decision-makers and targets the customer's business initiatives, network architecture evolution, solution standardization, and deployment timeframes.
You will train, enable, and develop dedicated System Engineers and support the team's efforts to successfully position, influence, and grow the RUCKUS product portfolio to net new and existing installed base MDU customers, industry influencers, and solution partners. Come connect your future!
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
A completed Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of pre-sales or equivalent experience working with routers, switches, and Wi-Fi technologies
5+ years of people management experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience in the MDU vertical including selling Wi-Fi and switch network solutions, deployments, managed services, etc.
Innovative leadership capabilities with the resourcefulness to deliver results, inspire change and build and empower teams with multifaceted strengths.
Expert verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate vision and strategy in a way that encourages and motivates with focused intention.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
A professional or associate-level project/program management certification.
A proficient understanding of MDU vertical customer and partner requirements, industry consultants and influencers, technical sales processes, critical account management, and experience operating MDU networks and deployments
Strong understanding and experience with MDU/MSP business models and technical requirements as well as key verticals knowledge including MDU, K-12, SLED, Higher Ed, Hospitality, large public venues and any other
Advanced understanding of partner business drivers and how to map these to a customer network environment, including identification of improvement areas in network design
Working knowledge of networking technical skills; specifically, 802.11 Wi-Fi technology evolution releases (Wi-Fi 5, 6, 7), RF antenna signal propagation behavior, standard processes design and assessment, predictive heat map creation, wireless troubleshooting, wireless network optimization, IP routing and switching WAN/LAN design, setup and configuration, Layer 4-7 application services, security authentication methods and products, SASE, SD-WAN, RADIUS, AD, Virtualization environments/deployments, VM installations, (any of VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, GCE, Azure, AWS), secure device/user onboarding solutions, etc.
General knowledge of the following areas of specialization: Cloud services (SaaS); VLAN; security (SASE); SD-WAN; wireless controller architectures; indoor and outdoor wireless deployments
Solid understanding of Wi-FI design tools such as Ekahau, TamoGraph, Air Magnet, etc.

Anticipated total compensation range (base + bonus-uncapped) dependent on experience and qualifications:
$160,000 - $230,000.
