About RestoringVision
RestoringVision is a global non-profit organization whose mission is to empower lives by restoring vision for millions of people in need. Our vision is to create a world where everyone who needs glasses has them. Our focus is on solving the global vision crisis by addressing presbyopia at scale for people living in poverty through innovative delivery models, evidence-building, and advocacy.
Today, 1 billion people have a vision impairment that is yet to be addressed. Since our inception in 2003, together with our partners, we have reached over 28 million people across 150 countries with vision screenings and glasses. We are now on a path to significantly increase our impact by reaching 10 million people per year with vision screenings and scaling to 50 million people a year.
The impact of our work lies at the intersection of global health, education and economic development and contributes to the progress of many of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We play an active role in driving international advocacy and action to solve the global vision crisis.
