We are looking for a collaborative, KPIs-driven, data-informed Ecommerce Manager to shape our Direct to Consumer online store across US and Canadian markets. This role will own the overarching website strategy and execution, inclusive of day-to-day operations, promotional calendar, inventory forecasts, UI/UX, merchandising, development partner management, and CRO testing for the DTC storefront. In this role, you will help to develop, implement, track, and optimize the DTC sales strategy as it relates to the end-to-end website experience.
Outdoor Research is an omni-channel business that primarily sells products through our Wholesale channel and our own DTC site. This role will support the DTC piece of the business making sure our Shopify storefront provides a unique and elevated experience that matches the expectations of loyal and new customers. You will work collaboratively with Brand Marketing, Demand Planning, Product Development, and Wholesale team members to hone and drive forward the DTC strategy that supports our overarching business goals. The Ecommerce Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Direct to Consumer.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a small team of direct reports, overseeing the day-to-day functionality and operations of the Shopify website and ensuring elevated shopping experience for every customer
Manage external Shopify agency partner for site development, CRO testing, and UI/UX improvements, setting their strategic priorities, delivery timeline, and oversight of project management
Own DTC product lifecycle from inventory forecast, to merchandising strategy, to catalog/feed health, to end of life closeout strategy
Actively monitor daily data flow between front-end, order management, vendor, and financial systems, and work cross-functionally to resolve any discrepancies and issues
Monitor order fulfillment KPIs continuously, working with the Warehouse and CS teams to improve fulfillment and delivery KPIs and ensure that customers' requests/operational constraints are prioritized and resolved
Partner closely with DTC leadership team members on integrating email, content, merchandising, and promotion calendars to drive DTC business outcomes
Shape and execute promotional calendar laddering into DTC sales forecasts while preserving profitability
Manage and monitor P&L of the OR website and all the relevant KPIs for the DTC business (Traffic, CVR, Site Performance, Sales, Margin, AOV, LTV, CPO, CAC, etc.), identifying opportunities for cost and process savings, and continuously optimizing for better business outcomes
Support the Sr. Director of Direct to Consumer with annual, quarterly strategy and sales forecasts for the DTC business

* Oversee program management of membership programs and projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively. This includes planning, coordinating, and monitoring programs/projects, managing budgets, and ensuring alignment with goals.
* Works cross-functionally to gather feedback, build shared goals, and achieve alignment on evolving membership program strategy, mechanics, and operations.
* Provides thought leadership and defines best practices which contributes to overall Co-op success.
* Collaborates closely with partner teams to bring insights and strategy to life in clear, compelling and tangible ways in order to further organizational progress against opportunity areas.
* Evangelizes both membership strategy process and specific strategies across the organization. Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications
* 7+ years in a membership or loyalty program strategy or design role
* 3 + years' experience in developing membership strategies in a cross-functional, enterprise model
* BA in Business, Marketing or related field, MBA preferred
* Strategic thinker who can translate complex issues into simple principles to drive engagement and growth.
* Proven success in building membership program mechanics that drive awareness, conversion, engagement and retention. Experience working in human-centered design processes using integrated teams. Solid analytical skills
* Working knowledge of consumer insights, experience commissioning insights work, interpreting and applying customer insights findings. Ability to identify customer needs and draft strategies and plans that deliver on those needs.
* Program management experience including executing complex strategies, programs, or projects.
* Strong presentation and persuasive speaking skills. Storytelling and presentation skills. Able to distill complex information into compelling presentation materials to effectively communicate vision, objectives and strategies with cross divisional peers, team members and leaders.
* Demonstrated leadership skills working across a complex set of stakeholders and looks for ways to influence cross-functionally.
* Member/customer advocate who considers the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal and external customers.
