What would you be doing?
Our treatment involves working directly with the child and the family in their natural environment (most often their home but also in schools and our centers), to teach them how to communicate, share, play, wait, and other essential skills.
BE's Behavior Technician / Child Interventionist makes the session fun by teaching through play-based activities. We offer training to all staff, so they feel confident in the skills required to instruct children affected by autism. The best fit for this role is someone very outgoing, energetic, and friendly.

What you'll be doing:
The Milieu Therapist is a licensed therapist who facilitates skills groups and psychotherapy groups based on core curriculum, provides meal monitoring and meal support, and offers milieu support, de-escalation and behavior coaching to patients in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitates curriculum-based groups
Provides meal monitoring and support.
Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations 15% • Provides support to Milieu including the following:
De-escalation and crisis management
Bathroom monitoring and support for eating disorder patients
Monitoring outside breaks • Conducts self-harm and suicide assessment
Support morning routine in IP/Res programs
Collects and reports weights, vitals and urine in some settings
Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends. Will lead some psychotherapy groups.
Coverage for Primary Therapists (for individual, family and group therapies as well as for patient assessments) with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director
Must Haves:
Graduate degree in mental health or related degree program- required
Bachelors degree- required
Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board- required
Strong knowledge of therapeutic principles and techniques- required
Ability to manage group dynamics effectively Proficient in keeping timely, detailed and accurate records- required
Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively- required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Required
