TITLE: Occupational Therapist It is our goal to provide the finest Orthopaedic care possible. This philosophy requires that all office staff and providers be sensitive and responsive to patients' needs and preferences. The position requires that the employee be available approximately forty hours per week and that also the employee be flexible in his/her schedule to provide efficient service for the group and work additional hours as needed. Complete all PT/OT evaluations and daily notes within 2 working days. Complete EEFs, and DASH, and cosign's within 2 working days. Complete Discharge (DC) list monthly Maintain full compliance with CMS-Medicare regulations, and other regulations of third party payors. Maintain complete documentation of services rendered, and communicate periodically with the billing staff to ensure the proper and timely billing of all services rendered. RELATIONSHIPS: The Occupational Therapist should observe and conduct the following relationships: The employee shall be responsible directly to the Director of Physical Therapy. The employee shall report to the Director of Physical Therapy and his/her assignees any progress, reports, requests, concerns, problems, and/or expectations in relation to the responsibilities of the position. Such communication may be verbal or written as deemed necessary by the employee or as directed by the Director of Physical Therapy or his/her assignee. The employee shall interact with other office and clinical staff in the Practice. The Residential Therapist is responsible for ensuring the treatment milieu is youth-centered and effectively designed to be implemented and meet the youths' needs in placement. Qualifications 1. Master's Degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Child Counseling, Social Work, or related field, with a minimum of six months experience in a residential setting. 2. Must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Science. 2. Must have knowledge of group process and interaction; working knowledge of child and adolescent development and treatment approaches effective in working with emotionally disturbed youths. 3. A minimum of three years experience working with troubled youths (latency and adolescent aged youths, preferable). 4. Minimum requirements and expectations of work performance are characterized by skilled professionalism, excellent clinical and case management skills, sound judgment, differentiated use of information, crisis intervention, and behavioral modification techniques. 5. Essential Duties: · Acquires, maintains, and demonstrates knowledge of Continuum of Care, Shared Core Practice Model, evidence-based practices, and trauma informed care in providing therapy to individuals and families. · Ensures client-centered service planning including effective advocacy, cross team collaboration, and client empowerment. · Communicates relevant information and coordinates with staff and outside agencies to establish and meet clients' treatment goals. · Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team. · Assesses, implements, and coordinates the client's plan of care, conducting outreach and engagement with team members and outside agencies, as needed. · Promotes wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment by providing client social and emotional support in addition to problem solving and conflict resolution. · Provides services in the field settings such as client home, community, or other approved venues. May provide services in residential setting, as needed. · Complies with HIPAA and agency confidentiality standards to safeguard client information. · Completes all required documentation of services and visits accurately and within established timeframes. · Transports clients, and family if required, to appointments and scheduled activities, as needed. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: MA, MS, MSW, PCC, PsyD, or Ph.D. in a related field of human services from an accredited school and be licensed, or working towards license and eligible to treat individuals, couples and families. Ettie Lee Youth & Family Services has served the complex needs of at-risk youth with emotional and behavioral problems and their families throughout Southern California for nearly 70 years. Currently, Ettie Lee is seeking a Residential Therapist for its Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program. The Position: The Residential Therapist works with youth ages 11 to 21 that have been removed from their families and are in small home settings that provide an integrated program of specialized and intensive care and supervision, services and supports, treatment, and 24-hour care and supervision to children. Assessment and Treatment Planning Formulate and prepare all clinical/functional assessments, treatment plans, discharge and permanency/aftercare recommendations, in a manner that is focused on each client's treatment needs and is culturally sensitive to the children and families served. Develop, implement and monitor family involvement plan. Monitor treatment for psychiatric conditions Treatment Services Provide the following services to all clients residing in the STRTP: Individual Therapy, Individual Rehabilitation Services, Group Therapy, Family Therapy, Case Management, and Intensive Care Coordination Case Coordination Provide Treatment Team staff with direction regarding interventions to address special needs of each client immediately following entry to treatment and throughout the duration of the treatment episode.
