MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program; or completion of an equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians
OR
Completion of education and experience as a corpsman in the United States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving neuropsychiatric nursing and an Armed Forces or civilian course from an accredited school in the care of the developmentally disabled client.
Possess a National Certification as a Psychiatric Technician from the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians.
Possess a minimum of one year of experience as a psychiatric technician within the last 2 years.
Provide two letters of recommendation written within the preceding two years from a manager, director, or direct supervisor of a Mental Health Clinic attesting to the HCW's applicable clinical skills.
Letters shall attest to the HCW's communication skills and ability to relate to patients as well as professional and other inter-personal skills among staff members and must include: name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing the recommendation.

The Therapist I holds a valid registration from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Their duties encompass conducting clinical assessments, making diagnoses, devising treatment plans, executing interventions, handling crises, and organizing discharge plans. They collaborate closely with other team members to ensure optimal client care, aligning with HealthRIGHT 360's ethos, objectives, policies, mission, and vision. The Mental / Psychiatric Health Technician cares for individuals with psychiatric conditions as well as a variety of substance use disorders, following the instructions of physicians, nurses or other health practitioners. The Behavioral Health Technician monitors a patients' safety, physical and emotional well-being and report directly to medical staff.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred (or per facility requirements)
Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
