Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field. Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent in the state of Washington. Experience working with children and families in a clinical or community setting. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Ability to pass background checks and comply with all organizational policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within a nonprofit or community-based organization. Training or certification in specific therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), or Play Therapy. Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish or other languages prevalent in the community. Familiarity with local social service systems and resources in Pierce County. Experience with crisis intervention and safety planning. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for children and families. Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices. Collaborate with social workers, educators, healthcare providers, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Participate in case consultations, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic effectiveness. Skills: The Child and Family Therapist utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills daily to build trust and rapport with clients and their families, facilitating open and effective dialogue. Clinical assessment and diagnostic skills are essential for accurately identifying client needs and developing appropriate treatment plans. The therapist applies therapeutic techniques and evidence-based interventions to address complex emotional and behavioral issues, adapting approaches to suit individual client circumstances. Collaboration and teamwork skills are critical when coordinating care with multidisciplinary professionals and community partners. Additionally, organizational and documentation skills ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards while maintaining clear and confidential client records.

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients/clients requiring social work intervention. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides counseling and crisis intervention to patients/clients who have social or emotional problems in a variety of settings across the age span. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required Active license as an LCSW in state of practice required Minimum of one year of social work experience preferred Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and have strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
