Job Responsibilities: CLINICIAN Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility - WCS Jefferson County Responsible for providing individual therapy and supervising milieu group therapy to the youth residing at Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility utilizing the Integrated Treatment Model including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Provide service coordination in collaboration with the Youth Treatment Specialist team. The Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility is licensed under the Department of Health Services Chapters 50 and 34 to provide a short-term stabilization service for up to 8 youth (ages 10-17). Essential Functions: 1. Interview, assess, screen, and approve admissions of youth for services at YCSF. 2. Assist with admissions process on site, assisting families with paperwork completion and orientation of youth to the program. 3. Supervise the youth coordinator, providing weekly individual supervision, review and sign off on youth care plans and service recommendations/resources. 4. Facilitate treatment and value-added groups for the youth including but not limited to DBT skills, sex education, healthy relationships, cultural awareness, substance use, independent living and life skills for 8 youth across the gender spectrum, ages 10-17 years old. 5. Provide daily (more frequently as needed) 1:1 individual therapy session following treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches in the spirit of DBT. 6. Complete assessments to develop youth care plans including stabilization and safety plans. 7. Provide DBT training and coaching to the direct care staff by engaging in activities/programming to role model and teach DBT skills to both youth and staff. 8. Provide weekly clinical supervision to Youth Treatment Specialists in the YCSF program per DHS 34 requirements. 9. Engage in monthly peer review with clinical supervisor per DHS 50. 10. Participate as a member of the medical peer review committee per DHS 50. 11. Participate in consultation teams both as a team member and as a facilitator for program staff to assist in monitoring the fidelity of the milieu group therapy. 12. Participate in weekly consultation, training and supervision on the integrated treatment model. 13. Conduct daily risk assessments to ensure the youth are safe and not a risk to themselves or others. 14. Coordinate with Jefferson County Crisis Services as needed. 15. Work collaboratively with child and family team to implement a comprehensive treatment plan outlining each youth's identified target behaviors. 16. Attend court hearings as needed to provide updates and advocate for youth. 17. Work on-call to ensure clinical needs of youth are being met and provide clinical guidance to staff during crisis after hours. 18. Document all interactions in the electronic medical record SecurManage. 19. Engage with youth's support network and participate in family engagement initiatives. 20. Attend psychiatric medical appointments and assist in medication administration. 21. Keep appropriate documentation for all funding sources. 22. Maintaining resident record files in accordance with YCSF certification, Department and Health Services (DHS) 50 and 34 to ensure all records are updated and complete. 23. Brightpoint's Child Welfare Counseling Services provide therapeutic intervention for children and parents involved in the child welfare system. As a Therapist on the Child Welfare Counseling Services team, you will provide clients with an individualized assessment, and then work collaboratively with the family and outside services providers to develop a comprehensive and strengths-based treatment plan. Your services will help children and adult clients address trauma, attachment, domestic violence, anger management, parenting, placement stabilization, substance abuse, permanency, and court involvement. Core Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: Completes a thorough assessment of each program participant's strengths and circumstances, and provides clinical diagnosis based on DSM-5 criteria. Formulates service plans and goals in collaboration with program participant(s) and with supervisory approval, in accordance with program model. Evaluates progress towards service plan goals and modifies when necessary to meet the needs and goals of the program participant(s). Engages program participants in therapeutic interventions which may include evidenced-based individual, family, and/or group therapy, and/or other supplemental interventions, in accordance with program model. Refers program participants for additional recommended services if unable to provide within the program scope. Provides limited case management which may include case coordination, service brokerage, linkages with community resources, and recommendations for on-going services when necessary. Actively participates in treatment team meetings for all assigned program participants. Provides mental health consultation to other Brightpoint staff members, as well as other agencies, systems, and community providers to coordinate services, make recommendations, and meet the needs of the participant(s). Completes court reports and submits written and in-person testimony in Juvenile Court regarding the best interests of the child(ren) and family. Writes and maintains complete documentation of services for each case in paper and/or digital form and meets all program record-keeping requirements. Meets all Medicaid billing requirements for services provided. May provide services in offices, homes, schools, agency program sites, via telehealth, or other locations as appropriate to program model. Develops aftercare service plans with the program participant(s) and ensures that any recommended services or providers are in place prior to participant(s) being discharged, as permitted within the scope of the program. May engage in community outreach activities, attend community events, and/or facilitate community collaboration meetings. May respond to crisis calls and provide clinical management of the crises. Reports any suspected abuse or neglect to the Department of Children and Family Services per the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act. Adheres to funding and regulatory guidelines including preparation and participation in site visits as requested. May facilitate clinical trainings for internal and external partners. May supervise an intern. May transport program participants(s) as needed for program activities. Participates in clinical supervision on a regular basis. Candidate qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related clinical field, required. Current clinical licensure in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT) required. Experience providing behavioral health services to youth or families using an evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma-informed practice strongly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required. Job Summary Under the assigned supervisor, works to alleviate or stabilize mental health symptoms of selected clients, which impairs their ability to adjust to home, community integration, or maintain living stability; provides therapeutic services to individuals, families, or groups regarding psychological or emotional problems by performing the following duties: develops assessment and treatment planning for clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Selects administrators and reviews various mental health inventories and screenings to identify the needs of clients. Provides initial and comprehensive diagnostic assessment of all referred clients utilizing interviews and well-recognized criteria. Develops treatment plans using a variety of generally accepted intervention techniques to address areas of assessed need. Regularly discusses progress toward goals with client and encourages client feedback and client ownership of outcomes. Ensures there is a medical rule out of symptoms and coordinates the approach with medical and other providers serving the client. Adapts clinical methodology to the needs of the client using an evaluative tool and client feedback approach to ensure client service is meeting needs, and as needs change, adapts method and degree of therapy. Integrates all services provided by serving as a central point of communications for all mental health related services, supportive services treatment and counseling. Maintains comprehensive client file with progress/process notes, completing assessments and quarterly reports, closing summaries, preparing reports for court as needed, testifying in court as needed, and participating in multidisciplinary staffing as needed. Develop collaborative relationships with staff and other programs both within and outside of the agency and assume initiative in developing therapeutic groups. Represents the agency at court hearings and attends required staffing meetings. Monitors client progress and periodically reassesses client's level of functioning as necessary, utilizing standard clinical instruments as well as diagnostic and statistical manual as required. Takes a protective role in overall service by ensuring integration of clients' other providers by including them in the treatment planning. QMHP to oversee completion and approval of MHP documentation when required. Maintains the highest ethical standards in keeping with professional affiliations and demonstrates the ability to perform strength-oriented practice. Performs other related duties as needed.
