General Duties • Demonstrates performance of tasks necessary to maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu and provide optimum patient care. • Provides direct patient care and assistance as needed and as assigned to support patients with ADLS to include dressing, bathing, eating, feeding, and other tasks as needed to ensure quality care and management of the patient • Leads and/or assists with program related activities and groups that reinforce daily goals, learned skills, and cognitive stimulation appropriate in line with role scope and training. • Uses program de-escalation techniques that have been trained and support a trauma informed person-centered approach toward patients • Performs patient rounds and safety checks and always maintains responsibility to remove and promptly report any safety issue immediately to nursing staff during their shift • Performs and documents vital signs on patients as assigned • Demonstrates appropriate use of patient care equipment necessary to perform role tasks • Follows unit safety practices and procedures at all times to include continuous hand hygiene, appropriate use of PPE, appropriate use of patient assistive devices, falls prevention protocols, and unit contraband prevention. RELEVANT WORK - Minimum amount of specifically related experience which is required to perform the role at this level.
