This position will primarily to serve children and families. Services include comprehensive clinical assessment of client and family needs and utilization of evidenced based treatments for psychiatric and substance use disorders. Employee is expected to provide individual, family, and group therapy using brief focused therapy methods as well as more traditional methods of treatment. Safe Harbor is a non-profit agency that offers specialized services, at no cost to a child or their family, to aid in the investigation of child abuse and crimes witnessed by children in the 4th Judicial District. General Description: This position contributes to the overall mission of Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center (SHCAC) by providing direct and indirect therapy services to child victims of severe abuse, including sexual abuse, and/or who havewitnessed a violentact, and theirnon-offending families and. caretakers. The therapist is responsible for intakes, assessments, evaluations, treatment planning, and delivery of services, maintaining of clinical recordsas established by the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and upholding confidentiality and code of ethics for their perspective discipline. Thetherapist will participate in a multi-disciplinary team, case consultation, and peer review and in any legal proceedings as may be required.
