About this Position: As an Occupational Therapist in our outpatient clinics, you will have the time and resources to provide one-on-one carewith 45-minute treatment sessions, ensuring high-quality interactions and better patient outcomes. The OT is also responsible for alleviating impairments, functional limitations and disabilities by designing, implementing and modifying treatment interventions. Additional responsibilities include reducing the risk of injury, impairment, functional limitation and disability, including the promotion and maintenance of fitness, health and wellness in populations of all ages. The OT will be engaged in administration, consultation, education and research. The OT will be expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. Job Summary The Lymphedema Therapist provides specialized evaluation and treatment for patients with lymphedema and related conditions. This role supports outpatient rehabilitation programs serving cardiology, colorectal surgery, breast surgery, and the upcoming Cancer Institute. The therapist works with patients who have impairments, limitations, or disabilities affecting physical function and daily living as a result of injury, disease, or other causes. The Lymphedema Therapist may be a licensed Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist with lymphedema training and certification. Essential Functions Evaluates patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings, family, and other relevant sources. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with specific goals and objectives, integrating care across the continuum. Provides comprehensive lymphedema management, including manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging, exercise, skin care education, and self-management training.
