Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of approximately 6 clients per day
Perform physical/occupational therapy evaluations and provide treatments
Develop treatment plans with functional goals
Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
Maintain accurate clinical records and complete required reports
Attend clinics, case conferences, staff meetings, and trainings
Evaluate and order adaptive/durable medical equipment; train caregivers
Consult with caregivers and agencies involved in patient care
Participate in the IEP process
Provide guidance to Therapy Aides, volunteers, and interns
Qualifications
Required: Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience
Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish) - not required
Valid PT license in California
Compensation
Travel Package: $3,406/week (includes $2,160 taxable + $1,246 stipends)

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Two (2) years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
Acute setting experience desired.
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
Possesses and maintains current CPR Certification.
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
Understands hospice philosophy; issues of death/dying.
This position requires eligibility for state O.T. licensure (if applicable) in the state which he or she will practice, graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy, eligibility to take or has passed the examination for Occupational Therapists administered by the NBCOT, and successful completion of the National Registry Examination.
Ability to communicate effectively with O.T. staff, interdisciplinary staff, visitors, patients, families and members of the community.
CPR certified required within 12 months of hire.
The duties and responsibilities are listed below. It is the expectation of the institution that the employee be able to demonstrate competency in each area. It is the duty of the institution to provide orientation and performance evaluation in each area stated.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluates patient's functional status (muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, self-care ability, work capacity, etc.). Evaluates home environment for hazards or barriers to more independent living. Identifies equipment needs. Participates in the development of the individualized plan of care.
Develops treatment program and establishes goals for improved function. Communicates plan of care to referring physician and other organization professionals. Also, as necessary, will develop program for caregiver's energy conservation.
May teach new skills or retrain patient in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury, in accordance with organization policy.
May fabricate splints and instruct patient in the use of various types of adaptive equipment to improve function.
May train patient and family/caregiver in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
Maintains appropriate clinical records, progress notes, and reports to the physician any changes in the patient's condition. Submits these records in accordance with organization policy.
Maintains contact/communication with team members in the patient's care to promote coordinated, efficient care.
Attends and contributes to in-services, interdisciplinary group meetings, and other meetings as required by organization policy to ensure com prehensive assessments for the patients of the organization.
Instructs and educates patient's/family/caregiver and other team members in patient's treatment regime.
Participates in hospice personnel orientation program.
Actively participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.

Job Description:
The position of behavior staff will be to take part in working with and teaching children with disabilities as part of a team. The individuals who are chosen to work as a behavior intervention staff will be trained by ABSI's Behavior consultants and Behavior Specialists. All employees will be trained in the basics of Applied Behavior Analysis, specifically a teaching technique called Discrete Trial Training and Natural Environment Training. The training will also include information on how to implement other teaching methodologies that have proven to be helpful with children with autism, in addition to your role and responsibilities, and professionalism. The behavior intervention staff will specifically conduct structured teaching in the family's home and/or school environment. They are to implement changes made to the child's home program/school programs and ensure that they are taking daily data on each program/goal taught. Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive in-home physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings.
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
Assess the home environment and recommend modifications or adaptive equipment to enhance safety.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Document evaluations, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
Adhere to all clinical guidelines, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Active PhysicalTherapist (PT) license in good standing.
Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
BLS certification required.
