Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model.
Assure, along with fellow clinicians, that clients have access to 24 hours/day, 7 days/week support as needed.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or a related subject area. POSITION SUMMARY
Louisiana Methodist Children's Home of SWLA is seeking an empathetic, passionate, and caring PLPC, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW to provide therapeutic treatment on site to clients ages 12-17 years of age. Clients have an average stay of 3-6 months, during which the therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy based on treatment plans written by the therapist in collaboration with the client and their guardians. While therapists can have a caseload of up to 8 youth, decisions are made using a treatment team, which is made up of multidisciplinary professionals, who collaborate to provide the best care possible for our clients. Ensure each resident on his or her caseload receives a minimum of two individual therapy sessions each week (a minimum weekly total of 120 minutes).

Responsible for evaluating residents; formulating and updating written individualized Master Plans of Care; providing active treatment measures; and engaging in discharge planning.

Engage and involve guardians whenever possible in treatment planning.
