Our Opportunity: Under the general supervision of the Mental Health Clinical Supervisor the Mental Health Therapist offers assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions to meet client driven goals which assist with managing mental health symptoms and psychosocial issues. An autonomous role that coordinates, negotiates, procures services and resources for, and manages the care of complex patients to facilitate stabilization and maintaining the most optimum living conditions for the client in the least restrictive setting. Provides clinically based and empirically supported therapeutic interventions and care coordination to facilitate the stabilization and management of mentally ill clients and assists in the identification of appropriate utilization of resources across the continuum of care. Unmet needs of clients and the community will be evaluated and responded appropriately by creating group opportunities, psychoeducation, community outreach and other duties as needed. The therapist works collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff internal and external to the organization. Participates in quality improvement and evaluation processes related to the overall management of clients care in the community mental health setting. Delivers direct service to clients in the form of individual, family, and group therapy. Works with a variety of ages and presenting problems.
