Essential Work Functions:
Evaluate patients' physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment need
Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain
Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of devices
Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and self-management techniques to promote long-term functional recovery
Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients' comfort needs during therapy sessions
Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in physical therapy
Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home-based settings
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice

The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

The Psychiatric Technician (Safety) will be directed by the Unit Supervisor, RN Shift Lead, Senior Psychiatric Technician, or Health Services Specialist depending on the shift/program assigned at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:
* Help to create a clean, safe and therapeutic environment for patients or inmates.
* Apply mental health principles and relationship security with patients or inmates.
* Supervise patient activities.
* Perform custody tasks including supervision of patient activities.
* Shakedown; i.e., searching for drugs, contraband, weapons and inspecting facilities to identify security breaches that could lead to the escape of a patient or inmate.
* Observe and intervene in patient behavior that may injure people, damage property or signal impending escape attempts.
* Applies and demonstrates knowledge of correct methods in Therapeutic Strategies and Interventions (TSI), that includes patient containment, heavy lifting, applying restraints, and responding to emergency situations throughout the hospital.
* Perform nursing procedures such as administering medications including oral medications and hypodermic injection, observing patients or inmates physical condition and behavior and reporting significant changes to a shift supervisor, unit supervisor or physician and recording nursing notes: in the patients or inmate records.
* CPR, and following infection control procedures.

What You Will Do to Change Lives
The Clinician Unlicensed provides mental health support services to members served and their families at the program. The Clinician also assists in the coordination of all mental health support services provided by the Team. This includes coordinating and collaborating with team members and outside agencies such as, the Conservator's Office, Public Guardian's Office, Probation Department, County Behavioral Health Services, and housing and inpatient providers.

SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides psychiatric social work assistance to psychosocially or emotionally disturbed patients and their families of self-referrals, referred by CHC Primary Care Providers or Clinicians, and other healthcare organizations. Collaborates with the psychiatric and allied care team in diagnosis and treatment plans by performing the following duties.

POSITION:

What is Child Parent Psychotherapy? CPP is an intervention model for children aged 0-5 who have experienced at least one traumatic event (e.g. maltreatment, the sudden or traumatic death of someone close, a serious accident, sexual abuse, exposure to domestic violence) and/or are experiencing mental health, attachment, and/or behavioral problems, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). CALM's Santa Maria based, Bilingual Therapist provides psychotherapeutic treatment, rehabilitation, and care coordination in both English and Spanish. Services are provided on-site or in the field as needed for children up to age 21 and their families. The Bilingual Therapist supports the client and their family in meeting their mental health goals. Therapy is focused on symptom reduction to improve functional impairments and heal mental health issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder, problems in the parent-child relationship, or other social-emotional challenges with the ultimate goal of restoring children and families to a healthy level of functioning.
