The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides essential support to clinical staff by ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders. The BHT is responsible for monitoring patient activities, facilitating recovery-based education and group sessions, assisting with daily routines, and ensuring compliance with facility policies and safety standards. 5. Determines the developmental age (level of development) of the patient and assists the treatment team in the development and implementation of a treatment plan specific with developmental needs and/or required intervention.
6. Assesses psychosocial needs, including assessing for high-risk indicators and documents obtainment of psychosocial history/assessment.
7. Correlates all assembled data on the psychosocial history in a manner that is clinically pertinent to the individual patient.
