Berkshire Psychiatric is seeking a full time (40 hours) Board/eligible Psychiatrist to serve both child/adolescents and adults in either of its two outpatient locations in the Reading, PA area. Part time (20-25 hours) opportunity as well.

  • Initial psychiatric evaluations

  • Develop appropriated medication regiment based on the patient's history and symptoms
  • Working closely with the patient and program staff to help enhance medication adherence through client staff education, one-to-one and/or group interventions with the patient and monitoring the medication procedures in place at the respective program
  • Facilitating patient linkage to community-based Primary Care providers
  • Communicating and working with other community-based physicians

Education:

  • License in the state of PA as a MD or DO, specializing in Psychiatry and Geriatrics
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible

Experience:

  • At least two years’ experience working as an MD/DO with mental health adult population in an outpatient setting preferred.
  • Strong background in pharmacology with focus in psychopharmacology and drug interactions.
