Job Scope:

Safely and efficiently perform machine labor for equipment and machinery common to maritime vessels and/or general industry including but not limited to pumps, valves, winches, and gear boxes
Disassemble various types of equipment and machinery
Set up and operate drill presses
Perform overhaul maintenance
Testing of pumps, valves, turbines, condensers, shafts, rudders, and winches
Set up and operate portable machining tools
Properly care for and safely use hand and power tools

Requirements:

Experience installing below deck auxiliaries such as evaporators, stills, heaters, pumps, condensers and boilers and connect them to stream pipe systems
Experience with troubleshooting and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment
Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and templates
Must pass a Weld test
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75lbs
Ability to understand and follow directions

We are looking for Outside Machinist who are willing to provide consistent work efforts and great job performance to join our team! Hutco has been placing skilled Marine/Industrial craftsmen into contract and direct hire jobs since 1986. We are experts in industrial trades, and we understand our employee and customer needs inside and out. Must have minimum 2 years' experience in Industrial or Shipyard. REQUIREMENTS:

Able to obtain a Government facility security pass (DBIDS)
Must pass drug test and E-Verify.
Must understand the layout of the ship and compartment identification Basic
reading, writing and math skills required

Personal Protective Equipment:
