JOB DESCRIPTION
Outside Sales Support - Architectural Hardware
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Purpose of this role is to assist and support Sales Reps in pursuit of Architectural Hardware Sales.
• Provide accurate material estimates based on information provided by the Outside Sales Rep.
• Daily adherence to operational procedures for activities such as order processing, customer excellence, billing, deliveries, etc.
• Assists outside sales rep and keeps sales representative and customers apprised of revised information on products or merchandise such as product capability, availability, pricing, credit, warranties, and shipping.
• Anticipates and resolves problems timely and accurately.
• Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
• Provide estimates of date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules and expedite deliveries when necessary.
• Enters pertinent information into CRM based on their activities.
• Concurrently this position affords the candidate time to learn the nuances of specialty hardware supply and provides a team atmosphere where one can be properly supported.
• This is an inside position and is based in the Hampton Bays Showroom.
• Client interaction is required, predominantly via telephone and email.
• Excel is used daily to prepare quotes and estimates.
• AS400 proficiency will be required, including:
o Order entry, Order research, PO research, RTV Entry, Inventory, Transfers
• Vendor specific training will be available from Manufacturers.
• With active engagement transition to Outside Sales should take between 3-5 years.
Qualifications
Outside Sales Support - Architectural Hardware
Requirements:
Fluent in various manufacturer quoting programs.
Experience a plus.
Must be proficient in Excel and MS office
Willing to train candidate with industry experience or comparable education
