Job Duties
:
Pulling, filling, packing, and setting up orders for delivery or pickup
Palletizing orders in a stable and safe manner that is acceptable for shipping
Verifying that product being picked is correct description and quantity
Staging all finished picked goods in assigned shipping departments on pallets or push carts
Report or quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person
Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order
Follow all established policy and safety guidelines
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification
Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently
Using handheld scanner to perform cycle counts
Follow company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Accuracy and attention to detail
Recognizes and understands product numbers and alpha/numeric codes
Understands basic inventory, warehousing and stocking procedures
Able to work independently with some direction
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
Operates forklifts in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 70 lbs)
Ability to stand/walk for duration of work hours
Pass a drug screen and background check

A Typical Day:
Receive vendor shipments via purchase order number and customer returns by RM number using I-Pod device.
Inspect and verify for correct amounts, description, label accuracy, quality assurance and disposition of product.
Label/package product being received according to standardized procedures.
Document accurately via discrepancy sheets for product overages, shortages and damages. Log shipment errors and communicate them to the receiving manager, team lead and inventory control department.
Stage received product within proper stage location in a manner which facilitates workflow steps.
Build necessary pallets for incoming product according to storage zone.
Perform stock/pallet moves to recommended stage locations within warehouse manager system, IRMS.
Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to perform department related tasks.
Assist inventory control with product storage slotting.
Collaborate with customers, both internal and external, to resolve inquiries and concerns about product and process recognizing when to escalate to a team lead and/or manager.
Maintain a clean receiving area, ensuring no debris and product.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
You must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. You use common computer applications and company warehouse management system (WMS). Minimum of one-year related experience. Ability to be licensed as a powered industrial truck operator. Valid driver's license required.
