This role will have occasional on site expectations. Job Responsibilities Participate in risk assessments and audit planning Assist senior auditors in conducting internal audits focused on verifying and enhancing the company's financial reporting, compliance, and operational controls Assist in audits of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) Communicate with management and those subject to audit Coordinate and work with IT auditors Prepare work papers to document tests, results of testing, and conclusions Contribute to the audit planning and audit reporting for specific audits Follow up with management to resolve open audit recommendations Assist external auditors as needed Keep up to date on industry developments and maintain certifications through relevant continuing professional education Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.Follow legal policies as directed. Job Requirements Familiarity with auditing, accounting, and financial analysis Understanding of testing SOX compliance Familiarity with testing controls and procedures Experience with data analysis tools such as SQLUnderstanding of retail and ecommerce industry and related internal controls and accounting High level of energy, and the desire to work in a fast-changing environment Strong knowledge of financial systems (Oracle preferred), financial processes, and GAAPWell-developed analytical skills and ability to identify potential problems within established processes and procedures Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Proficient knowledge of PC environment, including Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Skills Strong analytical and accounting skills Sound judgement Problem solving SOX audit and compliance SQLLeadershipOral and written communication Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Master's degree preferred Certifications Relevant certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CFE preferred Base Pay Range: $67,250 - $74,000 per year Who We Are: We're a passionate group of collaborative problem solvers and creative innovators, working on cutting-edge technology. Job Responsibilities Ensuring claims contract compliance with vendors, carriers, and internal teams Ensure claims are filed and resolved within the time limitation outlined with each transportation partner used by Overstock. Analyze reporting and claims data, as applicable As business owner prepare the monthly accrual (Claims/3PB) and manage forecast to actuals in support of product margin review. Manage the team involved in weekly, monthly, and annual 3PB compliance reporting. Using third party billing reports identify all freight charges that have been billed incorrectly to either Overstock or an Overstock partner. Upon identification of incorrectly billed freight charges, research and identify root cause of failure. Identify necessary corrective measures needed in the case of non-compliance and work with the necessary parties to change or correct policies going forward. Initiate all carrier rebill requests or disputes necessary and track resolution to ensure the charges have been corrected. Effectively communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal cross-functional departments regarding Transportation Claims & 3PB Compliance Adhere to inter-company Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in support of claims processing service. Understanding and suggest changes to the entire Overstock claims portfolio Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management Ensure employee performance and attendance standards are followed Job Requirements At least 5 years' supervisor experience in a transportation operations environment. Excellent understanding of mathematical and financial concepts.
