As executive vice president and chief financial officer, Corey Code is accountable for leading Ovintiv’s financial operations. He plays a vital role in executing the company strategy, ensuring Ovintiv has a strong balance sheet and the resources in place to manage financial risks and optimize its financial performance. Code’s focus is on capital allocation and shareholder returns.

Code, who joined an Ovintiv predecessor company in 1999, has served in numerous leadership roles during his nearly 20 years with the company. He

most recently served as vice president of investor relations and strategy, and prior to that, as treasurer and vice president, portfolio management. He has been instrumental in the formulation, assessment and implementation of Ovintiv’s strategy.

Code graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a bachelor of commerce. He also received a masters of business administration from Queen’s University and is a chartered accountant.
