This position serves as a subject matter expert for Humana's strategies supporting physician practice evolution and movement along the value-based continuum.
Associate will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is often performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Position will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for the creation and implementation of Humana's Primary Care Physician Recognition programs, including Model Practice, Patient-Centered Medical Home, and Quality Recognition programs across multiple lines of business (Medicare and Medicaid).
+ Utilizes complex SQL, SAS, and other technical skills to drive process improvement and assist markets in managing their value-based relationships
+ Works cross-functionally with various other departments in order to source and aggregate data elements for program administration and reporting
+ Creates the data infrastructure that supports various downstream departmental processes, including provider contract review and interpretation and maintenance of participation table processes
+ Serves as a primary technical subject matter expert for department processes and the creation of program reporting

Coordinate with vendor teams for timely delivery of product features. Develop RESTful API services for Identity and Access Management, Application Hosting workstreams. Create design document, release notes for software artifacts delivered for every release. Perform code review and design review of deliverables from vendor engineering teams. Develop unit testing and performance testing according to defined Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) using API client tools. Optimize the code, DB queries to meet defined NFRs. Develop Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines to package software artifacts for deployment using technology stack such as Bitbucket, Jenkins Pipeline Manager (JPM), Azure DevOps (ADO), Terraform, Terragrunt, Docker, and Helm Charts. Provide L3 support for operations team across DSP solutions during product release cycles and incident response. Provide support to customer success team in onboarding users, organizations, tenant into the platform. Manage the deployment pipeline across all environments.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.

The Staff Software Systems Engineer will make vital contributions to the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline and transform patient care through innovation. They are responsible for working with our NPD teams to design and architect product software for use in cutting edge medical devices.
**You will be responsible for:**
+ Develop software architecture and requirements for highly complex medical capital systems.
+ Create software interface control specifications for connected electromechanical systems.
+ Collaborates with mechanical, electrical, software, and cybersecurity systems engineers to create robust product architectures.
+ Develop detailed product requirements, engineering specifications, system architecture, detailed component specifications, verification and validation test protocols and reports.
+ Design embedded product software to integrate with mechanical, electrical, and distributed computing systems.
+ Mentor members of the engineering staff to conform to Industry Standards for Medical Device Software (IEC 62304).
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
**Education:**
+ Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
**Minimum Requirements** :
+ Minimum of 6-8 years with Bachelors' or 4-6 with Masters' in a New Product Development environment with 4+ years in direct software engineering or software architectural role.
+ A goal-oriented and performance-focused attitude, demonstrating a high level of accountability.
+ Deep understanding of various embedded/system software design tools, operating systems and programming languages (e.g. Jira, Jama, Linux, QNX, Qt, C/C++/C#, JSON-RPC, Python, etc.).
+ Proven experience with embedded software design is required.
