Teamster Water Truck Driver

The Teamster Water Truck Driver is responsible for operating water trucks to support site operations and dust control. This position performs assigned tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently while following all jobsite safety requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
Site Operations and Safety
Operate 2k and 4k water trucks to support site operations and dust control
Follow all site safety rules, awareness requirements, and equipment safety procedures
Report and correct unsafe working conditions immediately
Maintain proper jobsite attire including safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety boots
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Perform basic water truck operation for daily site needs
Inspect equipment for breakdowns or mechanical issues
Perform routine maintenance including oil and water checks, greasing, PTO inspection, air lines, valve cans, and fill hose maintenance
Report all equipment issues to supervision promptly
Use equipment properly and maintain safe work habits at all times
Professional Conduct and Teamwork
Take direction from supervision and follow through on assigned tasks
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment
Identify and communicate jobsite or operational issues to the Grade Checker
Document and share lessons learned when appropriate
Promote Elite Earthworks and Engineering in a professional and positive manner
Qualifications
Ability to follow direction and work safely in an active construction environment
Knowledge of basic 2k water truck operation for site work and dust control
Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance
Commitment to wearing required personal protective equipment at all times
Understanding of jobsite safety practices and procedures
Reporting Relationship
This position reports directly to the Grade Checker.
Authority
The Teamster is authorized to carry out the responsibilities and duties of this position as assigned.

Flexible Work Hours/Schedules
Work hours are scheduled based on driver reported availability; additional work may be offered on an unrestricted on-call basis.
Truck Driver Requirements
Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience as a Commercial Driver, with Flatbed type trailers and cargo securement experience.
Lowboy, RGN, Stepdecks, and Land-All trailer experience a plus!
Valid "Class A" CDL - Passenger endorsement a plus!
Bus Driver Requirements
Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience as a Commercial Driver, with experience operating 44 passenger or greater buses.
Valid "Class B" or higher CDL, with Passenger and Air Brakes endorsements.
All Driver Requirements
Must pass background/security clearance checks, when and as required pre/post-employment.

Must pass pre/post-employment drug and alcohol screenings.
Must pass on-site licensing drive test(s).
